I guess he could be used in a time saving way to determine who to avoid at a gathering.
Just ask, "Who here takes Glenn Beck seriously?"

The answer would be the Right is not in power, so the liberal news outlets don't have much to reportCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

That is not a very good answer since the right has held up everything from simple nominations to cabinet posts to all sorts of bills in congress. Conservatives may FEEL under attack but there isn't anything getting done because of the minority party and a constant use of parliamentary rules to effectively shut down the governmentComment

I won't argue that right is blocking the liberals as much as they can, it's their only tool, Presidents that mock the other party when given the chance are fucking idiots and Obama has done that on several occasions. The Democrats have not shown the same resolve as the GOP, not one GOP voted for the healthcare bill, but several Dems didn't.That is not a very good answer since the right has held up everything from simple nominations to cabinet posts to all sorts of bills in congress. It's up the the President to bring the parties together, when Obama looses all the power he has this November, he won't know what to do, Clinton started playing ball with the GOP and shit got done, every democrats celebrates Clinton for leaving the country in such good shape, but had only the power to agree to what the GOP lead house and senate was doing.Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. first, blocking is not a tool, it is a tactic and it is not being used it is being abused by self interested blow hards who have no interest in doing what is right with this country, but what is right for their party and yes....there is a huge difference. If they had any value to this democracy at all they would compromise with the majority party and work towards what is good for this country.I won't argue that right is blocking the liberals as much as they can, it's their only tool, Presidents that mock the other party when given the chance are fucking idiots and Obama has done that on several occasions. Not one republican voted for the health care bill because they are arrogant fuck nuts that want to hold their breath and pout like children... so many fucking olive branches were held out they could have made a nice salad.
Second, you say that it is up to the President to bring the parties together. If you believe that is or even was possible the day he got sworn in I want those rose colored glasses you had on
third, you are absolutely correct that the democrats did not achieve party unity, they may or may not pay dearly for that in the mid terms. I don't care either way because nothing will change and the American people will continue to pay for this stupid immature partisanship gamesmanship.
Lastly, I would not be so bold as to suggest some kind of a landslide victory for the right come Nov.... the current mood of the country is not 'Yay for conservatives' it is 'throw the bums out' It has yet to be seen exactly how many bums each side may lose or gain.
To end this semi-rant; if you are correct and the republicans take over the house and senate what do you think will happen? Huh? you think the hard economic times are going to be over? do you think the banks will start lending again to small business and not play their little derivatives gambling games? you think the government will create jobs by investing in badly needed infrastructure? No? I hope you don't because the right has made it perfectly clear they oppose all those things that are needed..........badly, and thats not socialism it is giving the country what it needs to climb out of an extremely deep deregulated hole. The simple fact of the matter is the American public has lost and will continue to lose no matter which party is in control. Our politicians are bought and paid for by billion dollar corporations and they even managed to purchase the right seats in the Supreme Court. It's over, we lose... but hey! Maybe Obama wont get re-elected... hip hip hor---who gives a fuck?Comment

Our government is fucked up, people are pissed, that's why the democrats were voted into office in 06 and it got worse, then Obama got elected because he wasn't Bush, still not getting better, so now, look at the primaries, the Tea Party is shifting power getting those elected that they support because of fiscal responcability. They backed democrats that took away incumbents as well as republicans, they are a force that the president and many have made fun of and now these people are eating their words. I only see the Tea Party getting bigger. All they want is restraint when spending money. I see this forcing the government to listen to their view or get out of office.first, blocking is not a tool, it is a tactic and it is not being used it is being abused by self interested blow hards who have no interest in doing what is right with this country, but what is right for their party and yes....there is a huge difference. I watched a gold commercial today during Fox news and they were talking about the bank bail outs and the 10 trillion dollar debt, that was only a year and a couple months ago that we have grown our debt 30% and we are going to loan money to Greece? How many more countries will Obama bail out. He doesn't listen to the people, 70% of the people in Arizona wanted the new law, over 60% nation wide, yet the Attorney General and the Head of Home Land Security have denounced it both admitting they have not read the 10 page law, is this what you want to run our country?
This is not about bipartisanship, it's about if it doesn't work, vote the incumbents out, right now, we have more Democrats than Republicans. I'm an independent, I'll vote on each person running in office if they listened to the people, nobody I know of has, so the incumbents don't get my voteCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. I the status quo needs a good shaking and the parties need to do whats good for the country, people need jobs, then we'll have more money to do things like healthcare, But healthcare thats not just another entitlement, the wars need to be ended, not extended, we need to drill for oil on our coastline and end the crap with the middle east and bankrupt the bastards, ending half the worlds wars! An we need to secure our bordersya know, you and I see things completely differently and thats cool, its how it works. I love that Rand kicked ass today, I like him
You can blame Bush or clinton or Obama, I blame the government as a whole, the fact I think Obama is an ass hat is just a bonus and the Democrats work together as good as a herd of cats.
We did pretty good from 96 to 2000 and that was GOP house and senate with a Democrat president, people were working, shit was getting done, although I'm not happy about the NAFTA thing, that needs to go bye bye
I also think anyone that thinks things are good right now are digging in a pile of horse shit looking for a ponyLast edited by Vendzilla; 05-18-2010, 08:22 PM.Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. Seriously?
You are comparing a 10% rise in silver (wrongly btw, profit would be 1k not 2k) to a 0.002% rise in Gold.
Gold prices fluctuate by whole dollars every other minute, silver by pennies.
Which is why commodity/stock prices performance can only be compared in percentage points.

Technically right, overarchingly wrong. There isn't anything inherently wrong with drilling offshore, I fully support it. It won't however in any way significantly alleviate oil dependency problems.Comment

it doesn't work if the system and guys in charge are corrupted. how can you deal with a guy who got money to do something in favor of special interestwith all due respect for you I have to say 'no'. I am not trying to be rude here at all, quite the contrary. For me to expand on my thoughts would only serve for me to rant (believe me I could rant for days on what I think of Glenn Beck) because he, and others like him ON BOTH SIDES only serve to divide. That is it... period. There is no one on the right or the left begging for congress to come together and work as one government with a two party system for positive change....nope, Just people like Glenn and I will even say Keith Olbermann, whose sole purpose in life is to win the debate. Enough debate, it is time to do the hard job of compromise and governing. What you showed in the clip you provided is exactly that, name calling, scare tactics and division and unfortunately, that is ALL you will get from him....maybe I did expand on my thought after all

I don't remember where I saw the figures, but the amount of oil off our shore would last us and the rest of the world for decades, we lower the price of oil, sell it to other countries and take over the market, tell the arab countries to fuck off while we develop better energies like more nuclear energy. Investment VS payoff, I would go with silver and control a much larger amount for the buck. With the price of gold at all time highs, the usage of gold has gone down in favor of silver for many applications.
