Probably depends on your bank, and if your account is in the same country as the issueing party.

Depends on your bank. Assuming you are in the USA (since you haven't said differently) you should be able to endorse the cheques, but like they've said above, put 'For Deposit Only' underneath your sig in the endorsement area on the back. I know this can be done because I do this exclusively with any smaller amounts since my local bank charges an outrageous fee to cash dollar cheques. I live in the UK but have a USA bank acct so all the cheques are posted to me from sponsors, I sign them and send them to my Dad to deposit them. Fortunately in my situation I have someone I trust to take them to the bank but even so you should be safe putting 'For Deposit Only' on them.

If you are NOT in the USA then I have no idea how your bank would act. Especially considering that most if not all your sponsor checks will be from American banks.

Just be careful.

Not a biggy.. If you trust the person.. just fill out the deposit slip, sign the checks, and as mentioned earlier.. put "For Depost Only" under your signature.. If you can drop deposits in the night depository or the bank's atm machine, they'll take it from whomever hands it to em.
