A healthy version of Atkins (eating chicken & fish for the protein and not steak or bacon) along with an hour of hard exercise each day and you can drop 30# in no time. Not the best way to lose weight but it will work.

I did HCG (not HGH) and lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks (195 to 170) without exercising and have kept it off with a healthier diet.. not crazy healthy, but just moderation.

HCG is a hormone that pregnant women release when they start to starve... it is the bodies natural defense against starvation of the baby in utero.. it activates the hypothalimus.. (i think) to automaticaly start metabolizing fat to burn calories and keep the baby and mom fed..

You can get it online, but i suggest going to a nutririonist to get it. comes in multiple forms.. pill, drops on tongue, or shots injected into the fatty area of your stomach.. needles used are insulin injections so the needle is only half an inch long.. I suggest the needle as none is wasted on oral injection and going through the digestive system..

You do it in a 3 or 5 week cycle along with a calorie deduction of only 500 calories per day.. eating only 3.5 oz of lean protein and 3.5 ounces of a veggie per meal, twice a day..

Dont think you are starving yourself because you are actually metabolizing 2500 per day once it kicks in after the second or thrid day.. You wont be hungry at all as some may think.. And it is not a starvation diet because your body is metabolizing 500 calories of food and 2000 of fat... Working out and training on it is perfectly safe and will increase results... but you should already be workign out or training before you start it if you plan on doing so...

SO you dont put it back on after losing the weight just maintain a somewhat healthy diet and cut out soda...

:2 cents::2 cents:

My current girlfriend is on this diet... and she's been losing about 2 pounds average per day for the past 5 days.... pretty amazing results. Interestingly enough, my last g/f was on this diet and also had similar results.... losing about 25-30 pounds at the end of a month. It works for the non fatties too... my ex's personal trainer was a Hawaiian Tropic model and used this to really trim down... and had quite significant results.

If you follow the diet exactly it works... just do your homework and be exact about it.

The calculation might look something like this (assuming 2000 calories a day keeps your weight the same)(the less you weigh yourself, the less your daily dose of calories is):

If your daily dose to maintain weight is 2000 CAL:

Day 1 Eaten: 1500 CAL Burned on treadmill: 300 Calories lost: 800
Day 2 Eaten: 1200 CAL Burned on treadmill: 300 Calories lost: 1100
Day 3 Eaten: 1200 CAL Burned on treadmill: 300 Calories lost: 1100
Day 4 Eaten: 1200 CAL Burned on treadmill: 300 Calories lost: 1100
Day 5 Eaten: 1200 CAL Burned on treadmill: 300 Calories lost: 1100

Total Calories lost after 5 days: 5200 CALORIES = 1.48 Pounds of fat loss

This is advice from one of the fat men who wants to be not fat anymore.

This makes sense, however how do the people on the biggest loser drop like 10-20pds a week. I know some of them are like 350pds. But some of the girls are 240~ and can drop 6-10pds in a week.

Are they burning like 1200 CAL a day on the treadmill and other excercises?

Dansinger says that "50 to 60 percent of [contestants?] weight-loss success comes from dietary change." They're used to consuming around 3000 calories a day, but on the show consume about 1500 calories a day. As he says, "few people are really in a position to cut their calories by 1500 a day, but that's what these people are able to do." He says there's "nothing controversial" about the diet, nor are the contestants given pills or other shortcuts.

The other 40 to 50 percent of weight loss comes from the three hours of exercise the contestants do every day: an hour of strength training and two hours of cardio. That helps them burn an additional 1200 to 1500 calories,

the math will show you the answer you want. a 2000 cal daily intake won't maintain a 300 pounder. figure it takes closer to 3000 cals minimum to keep that kind of poundage.

also, do they lose that much consistently, week after week? it's probably water weight lost the first week. losing ~8 non-water pounds a week = a 4000 cal/day deficit. very hard to do.

just did a bit of googling re: the biggest loser- they workout 5 hours a day with those trainers.

that and a massive diet change would certainly allow for those kinds of quick loses.
