My mother was nearly killed 8 years ago by an illegal who clipped her head on by making a left turn at a red light. No drivers license, no insurance, no registration, couldn't speak English; NOTHING, no responsibility, no accountability.

We have fucking laws in this country and we pay taxes to have all the opportunities and services we have access to. LEGAL immigrants have worked hard to learn English, learn our constitution and make an effort to abide by, understand & learn our laws.

This law is a small step in the right direction yet a lot of you blind idiots want to make sure a criminal's rights aren't abused. What about the rights of citizens? You think it's the end of the world because a Latino person near the border who can't speak English or supply valid ID is detained? You can call that profiling, but I think it's doing what's necessary to combat a huge growing problem. :2 cents:

I read an article on Yahoo news yesterday about a restaurant owner in Phoenix who claims half of his business is gone because most of the illegals have left the state and either returned to Mexico, or are looking for work in another state. The really fucked up part is that half of his customer base was here in the US illegally, and he doesn't care because without them it's killing his business.

Some people call this discrimination. I disagree. When I get pulled over, they ask for my license. In fact, any time I deal with the police it's the first thing out of their mouth. If someone doesn't speak fluent English, well, then the cops need to look into why they are here and if they are here legally. If it's in Phoenix it means you'll be looking at a lot of Hispanics funny; If your in San Fran you'll be dealing with Asians. You call it discrimination, I call it reality.

This is what I don't understand and maybe you can help me. Where are the laws against hiring illegal immigrants? And, if there are laws, where is the enforcement? If your competitors were getting busted for hiring illegals, and I am talking busted HARD, then wouldn't other business stop the hiring? If no one was hiring wouldn't that stop the flow of illegal immigrants who are coming to this country trying to find work?

That depends on the State, not every state bleeds welfare out. Being that the thread topic is AZ... AZ has rather tough laws on welfare making it tough to keep and maintain.

As for Blacks bleeding off the system here, even if 100% of the black population in this state was on welfare, it wouldn't be a measurable percentage to the amount of illegals that hammer the system - even with laws in place that attempting to stop this from happening.

I have a problem with illegals (crime) that steal ID's (crime) to leach off our system (crime) that actually work and get paid cash (no taxes crime) allowing them to say don't have a job to collect more off the system (crime) and it goes on and on...
