iran is no threat.

the people of iran or more western that the west.

ie

they love ipods and such.

if you was iran would you get the bomb? of course you would as we know if you have thebomb, its unlikly the usa will start a war with you.

but if the oiran leader hated the usa or indeed uk, why does he love to go to both uk and usa universites. you would think he would keep away.

in fact he did the uk's alternative queens speach on uk ch4 not so long ago.

hardly the actions of somone who hates the uk.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008...istmas-message

the truth is, we no loger have any enermies anymore.

in fact if a coutry wants to beat us up, all; it needs do is have a better econmy and businesses.

look at china. it quickly becoming bigger than the usa.

its even bought most uk businesses. i think china know on jag cars.

DVTimes 05-08-2010 09:05 AM

do not forget its not easy to loaunch a nuke unless its close by.

oie, iran does not have gsp (the usa can turn gps off at any point).

long range nukes are not common, and can be blown out of the sky with modern day lock on missiles.

plus there is no gurantee the thing will work.

to launch nukes you need subs and a heck of a system.

iran is a business country. no one in iran would suport a nuke war. in fact i bet there would be no suport for war at the moment.

the thing iran has is that it feels its one sided. isrial gets much suport from the usa and uk.

though in the last few months the uk has got anoyed with isrial over them stealing uk passports to engage in a assasination.

Looking at the map posted, seems more like the "other" countries are in the blowing up mind ... and history backs that up.

Tell me who Iran invaded in the last 50 years ?
Tell me who brought war on Iran in the same period ?

It is up to Iranians to decide their future , not outside bullies. They did once a revolution bringing the religious backs, they can do another to kick them out .

Word by word translation: Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from)..

Arash Norouzi further adds that the The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) translation is the source of the confusion:

One may wonder: where did this false interpretation originate? Who is responsible for the translation that has sparked such worldwide controversy? The answer is surprising. The inflammatory 'wiped off the map' quote was first disseminated not by Iran's enemies, but by Iran itself. The Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran's official propaganda arm, used this phrasing in the English version of some of their news releases covering the World Without Zionism conference. International media including the BBC, Al Jazeera, Time magazine and countless others picked up the IRNA quote and made headlines out of it without verifying its accuracy, and rarely referring to the source. Iran's Foreign Minister soon attempted to clarify the statement, but the quote had a life of its own. Though the IRNA wording was inaccurate and misleading, the media assumed it was true, and besides, it made great copy.

Yes exactly. One can understand how it can be accidently translated to Wipe isreael off the map.

I also realize we have overthrown their government in the past. I said we need to help get the leadership of that country replaced. Iran has the highest concentration of citizens under the age of 30 of any country in the world. Many of those people are more forward thinking and want the current regime replaced with a more moderate one. We need to support those people.

You have no basis for saying that except for the mainstream propaganda. He never called for the annihilation of israel, that was more propaganda. Hopefully americans won't fall for this campaign like they did with the other wars.

Yeah, I would be to if I were him. But he did it to himself. I'm not for or against attacking them but messing with the US is just plain stupid.

How is he messing with the US? This whole thing has nothing to do with Nuclear weapons BTW. Pakistan has nukes, just test fired missles today, hates israel, supposedly has terrorists here, (they have a dictator too?), and they are our ally? hahaha. This has been planned for a long time. This is just one excuse.

The USA has created this threat from Iran to go to war with them. This is no different than any other fabricated threat created by the USA.

I would have no problem with Iran having nuclear capability if they had sane leadership. I do not see the latter happening so the first should not happen either.

Konkan 05-08-2010 07:07 PM

Why USA looking after every country that has a nuclear bomb? Are they scared or what? Otherwise who will judge USA for their nuclear bomb btw?

From a practical and humanitarian standpoint what the fuck did people expect after WW2? They needed to form their own state. Although I do not agree with fanatical zionism or any other religious "isms" for that matter.

Its funny cause the "Homeland" was planned out during WW1 with the Balfour Declaration and this had nothing to do with the "holocaust". The Germans saw this as a stab in the back cause it brought America into the war and eventually their defeat. The jews were not innocent by any means. Of course they'll all play like they are the victims... its quite quite the opposite. (zionists that is) The Jews against zionism speak the truth.

nation building: worst idea ever. to push a diplomatic notion that things are dramatically different on either side of a dotted line put there for wtfever reason is beyond complete stupidity.
