Three out of my four main workstations are on right now. One Win XP laptop, posting and emailing; one Win XP desktop uploading clips to one of my clip stores and one 64 bit Vista system exporting edited videos to mini-DV tape.

Main is a Quad Core 8GB RAM WinXP Second Quad Core 64 8GB RAM Vista 64 Third Laptop Dual Core 8GB RAM Vista Upstairs office, three I believe all are WinXP. 4GB RAM. Processors vary single to dual core. |

Two Dell, both with Vista.
One HP all in one touch screen with Win7. This is mostly for email and watching the news online. Two dell laptops. Both Vista. No problems with any of them. Ever.

I got a Desktop at home with Windows XP with all the bells and whistles, a latop with xp and a Iphone that I do actually use a lot for work.

I have a PC and a laptop that I use...a bunch of other older ones that sit in a closet.
I can't think of a reason to have a bunch of different machines running. Any useful suggestions?

Desktop: AMD quadcore 2.6ghz 8gb ram windows 7 geforce something or other idk Netbook: Same shit as every other netbook... just got the bigger battery. Laptop 1: Pentium 4 ? 2gb ram no fans and fucked up hard drive=BROKEN Laptop 2: Hard drive messed up and it partitioned and only like 500mb is usable and it has a celery processor=USELESS

Main laptop runs Ubuntu. Travel laptop (netbook) runs Ubuntu. Editing desktop runs Vista (although we share it, I use it like 2x a month if that).

2 Dell laptops, 1 15.4 inch XPS 1 13.3 inch XPS.
2 Dell pcs, bit older now but they are in my house in Scotland so hardly use them. 1 main computer at the office I use day to day. Nothing hugely fancy, just fast and do what they do. All running Vista btw. |
