                  I've tried it and its not as great as they say, ive heard it makes you hallucinate etc, but it is nothing but a mint liquor

                      Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

                                                      the taste comes from the anise. i've never really felt anything evn close to a hallucination drinking absynthe, though it does do a very effective job of getting you fucked up.

                                                          I read the original absinth was banned long ago and its only sold on some island or something like that. I have tried the one from supermarket and didnt like it much, tasted like strong mint.

                                                                      That's because it doesn't have the hallucogenic compound in it anymore. If I'm not mistaken it was wormwood. That's the reason it was banned a long time ago.

                                                                      So yes, you can buy it but no, you will not start to see things.

                                                                                      I know a guy who brews his own with wormwood, so it's supposed to have the active thujone compound in it or whatever the fuck it is, and it still never did shit besides get me good and fucked up drunk. Maybe because I'm used to hallucinating on real drugs...

                                                                                                                              czech absinthe is horrible, it has a chemical mint taste.
                                                                                                                              the good absinthe available in liquor stores has the liquorice taste and its nice to get fucked up but its nothing more then just hard liquor.
                                                                                                                              never had the 'real' stuff with the bigger amounts of wormwood

                                                                                                                                          It's expensive as hell here in Canada and it does fuck you up. The only people it doesn't fuck up are serious alcoholics so they get to miss out on the fun ;)
