GfYers from New Zealand Step inside!...

    Hi All,

i m almost graduating from University, due to i don't like my current department, my GF and i are planning to move New Zealand and studying computer science there.

So, what are the tips, what's pros and cons, like average monthly expenses? ongoing life and other stuff etc.

and the last one, is it ok to live there for an Adult Webmaster?

    Thanks in advance

btw. this is my first post since some hectic time.

            Ahahahaha, New Zealand.

Very dull, dry, slow paced country.

I don't live in NZ but go there a few times a year. Really depends what you like and what part of the country you are studying in but here are a few tips as I see them.

              1) Auckland (North Island) is the biggest city, cost of living higher then most other place in NZ but a nice city on a big bay with loads of nice places to eat and go out.
              2) Christchurch (South Island) is nice and is on the coast but COLD! Cost of living is better in this area with easy access to ski field and loads of out door activities. I personal think Sumner it the place to live in Christchurch as it's right on the beach and has a nice relaxed feel.
              3) Queenstown (South Island) is an amazing place to visit but is maybe the most expensive place to live in NZ and really would not be a great place to live as it's all about the ski fields and tourism. It is a must visit place if you are in NZ
              3) Cost of living is low with the exchange rates with the USD
              4) As far as I know NZ is fairly open to the adult industry (more then Australia anyway) and it would be legal to work as an adult webmaster but double check with someone who lives there full time.

All in all NZ is a nice place and far value for money as a place to live although it can feel a little backward and slow. It's one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been to and living there for a few years would be a real adventure.

For some reason whenever I got to New Zealand it feels a little like going back in time, I'm not sure exactly why and it's not really a negitive thing but I do get that feeling. LOL

Going out and eating is around the same $$ value but you gain on the exchange.

Rent I am unsure but here you will get an idea. http://realestate.co.nz/rent

                  Internet http://www.internetchoice.co.nz/

Really not to sure on those cost as I don't live there but google around and you can find out most of what you are looking for. Auckland is a nice city and NZ is a nice place to explore.

Ever seen Flight of the Conchords? They play up that stereotype, much of the clothing and interior decoration in Murray's office looks like something from the 70s.
