I have a problem with unknown people flat out lying and then casting accusations around about well known people.

Read the thread again and you will find that "Ben" can not seem to get his story straight. It changes with the wind. This shows me that Ben has a problem with communication and when you combine that with Mike's story about Ben vanishing then coming back..well..It seems pretty clear to me that Ben is the one who dropped the ball here.

Although Ben may have paid the money, I don't believe for even half a second that Ben was scammed. Sounds to me like Ben was a pain in the ass who vanished during the development process and is now crying about how things turned out.....12 years later or whatever that number is up to now.

Wow, what a crazy thread. For the balances you were dealing with, you really should have been using more than ICQ/AIM to communicate, especially when gaps of several months to years occured. At this point it seems you've aggitated Mike and his wife (who I agree you shouldn't have posted her first name on here) and will likely not get a resolution thru GFY. If you really feel like you've been wronged and for the balances you're claiming (which I can't seem to figure out for the life of me, $10k or $15k?), I'd go thru a lawyer.

No actually I just want what I paid for. This "vanish" excuse is irrelevant, even though I tried contacting both of them several times when I was in Vancouver, and when I moved back.

Mike was a programmer we hired to create us a custom cam program, he wasn't a partner. I provided him with everything he needed to complete it.

We used phone to communicate mostly at first. After a while though (especially when the balance was paid), it was almost impossible to get a hold of either of them. But trust me in the beginning when money was owed Lexi and Mike where very easy to get a hold of.

Ok more research... its been a while...

First, the very first wire for $4k was on 12/12/07 not Oct.

From then till Sept it was not a matter of selling the software and installing, I was "working" with them, they wanted things changed,
added, customized and the site was resdesigned at least 3 times.

He was right, at this point there was no real usable web admin. Just database access, it was the models admin that need a couple of
more minor things.

But at this point they had a fully function cam system, complete with a huge number of custimizations ect.

I'm not generally in the habit of posting private ICQ logs, or really posting anything for that matter, and I removed anything that does
not directly relate to this thread.

It's a dead issue, I'm not waisting any more time on this.

We paid you for any customizations you did for us. We paid you for a "fully function cam system" and a admin area. You did not deliver us with the admin.

Really? Then I don't know how PimpRoll does it. Whenever they (in Canada) have wired me (in the US) a payment, it always arrives exactly when they told me it would arrive. No muss, no fuss.

They lost 80% of their custom program when they closed the Nat Net servers.. NatNet was also doing the backups...

i can't imagine a host would not allow you access to your files/back ups unless they weren't paid. in which case, primary money focus should have been to get that hosting bill fixed so you can access all the up-to-date work. that's where it seems the shit hit the fan

If Mike's logs are right the thing you're upset he didn't do wasn't part of the deal and was originally supposed to be built out by someone else.

Looking at the logs it also seems like where you guys dropped off in 2008 you had paid $5k for the first half and then sent some supplementary cash for additional labor for sorting out the data that was lost and throwing up the dev site to show the investor. The project stalled out after that and I don't see anything where the second half was paid to Mike.

Ben, unless you have your own logs to counteract what Mike has posted, prob best to cut your losses and walk away.

Sounds too me like the original investor is coming after you (ben), and after pretty much bailing on the project (for what ever reasons) and not having anything to show them for it, now your coming after Mike.

If you've been this caviler with Mike and taking 1, 1.5, 2, years, or who knows how long. I'm inclined to think what you did with the rest of the capital they put forward.
