Gotcha. If someone tries to scam you though, they are a scammer. Thanks for letting others know though.Comment

I would agree with your assessment. Being in business for over 12 yrs i have paid people without invoices. Seems like BF was trying to get out of payingActually, that would be a no.

If this was the order of operations then Barefootsies prevented himself from being scammed by using the PayPal dispute system as it was intended.1. Ordered content.
2. Paid for all content.
3. Asked for a signed release. Did not get it.
4. Asked again ... ... ...
5. Filed dispute to force hand before expiration of dispute period.
6. What I had asked for was then sent that next Monday via FedEx.
7. Received what I asked for that week.
8. Dispute closed.
I've used the dispute system before in a similar manner... I had paid for an item off of Ebay which was defective and I couldn't get the seller to contact me back. When the dispute period was about to be up I had no choice but to file it. After I did the seller contacted me back (finally) and he exchanged the item for a new one. I guarantee if I would have let that period pass me by I never would have seen a working product

1 difference inthis matter...HE HAD EVERYTHING , content, 2257, INCLUDING AN ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE SIGNED LICENSE at least a MONTH before he tried to dispute it on PaypalIf this was the order of operations then Barefootsies prevented himself from being scammed by using the PayPal dispute system as it was intended.

did your original job request specifiy the no invoice no pay ruleAs I said, I am simply referring this over to lawyer so I am not going to go into it. I can assure you that there is a lot more to the story then being told here. I was just happy it was publicly posted play by play. Easy to print off. Plus I have three MODS who can verify all.
It's a simple concept. Do work. Send invoice. Get paid.
In the end, I hope it was worth it. It's going to cost him a lot more than $150.00.
or did you just add that after you got called out
if it the former your right
if it the latter then the arguement is nothing more than another deflection.Comment
