Is Barefootsies a scammer?

Whelp, based on the poll results, on what people have been posting about this Barefootsies guy and about the public attitude to him in general , i have decided that Barefootsies is a kind of shady person and better not to be dealt with. Therefore,

Yes, to me too, it sounds like "no invoices" was just an excuse to dick the person around, waste his time and not pay him.

Not really,i also deal with people who wont pay until invoice is sended.Since i get paid instantly after that,i have no problem with that.

two parties involved, one delivers another backpedals - all in clear. why should anybody do any work to be hassled for their money at the end.. if both parties are responsible - they will go out of their own way to deliver what they agreed on - everything else is bunch of rotten salami.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure I'd want to do business with the vast majority of posters in these threads. All I see are wild accusations thrown around without proof, one-sided stories told, and a lot of cover-ups and lies. And I don't really give a shit if someone points their finger at me and says "STFU noob! you're just a broke-ass Puerto Rican who scams people too!". This is an industry of greed, so deceit comes naturally, and the only ones who can survive are the ones with rock-solid business savvy...or the ability to scam under-the-radar and not get caught. Quite often, these two things are the same...

And I'm sorry, but if I had to choose sides in this matter, I'm more inclined to agree with Barefootsies, based on all of the presented evidence and my own intuition. Sometimes, circumstances make a situation look worse than it is...I have plenty of experience with that from that stupid thread I posted a few months back. But regardless, his way of doing business is not dissimilar to mine, and that particular manner is the safest for one's own business. If someone feels they get fucked over in the process, then perhaps they should get their own cards in order and clean up their act. No one's perfect, but everyone can use improvement.

I'm not saying he is a scammer, but last year, this fucker bought a portion of our content package from Simon Synister/Sologirlcontent for $2k, we sent the entire package in full, but he needed to pay in 4 payments of $500 over 2 months, ok fine, Simon thought he was a cool guy, so no problem. Then he wanted to add our content to those tube site deals, we thought about it for a minute and then backed off...he said guys would send him $$ for the deal..so why not send our cut to us and we ship the content??? So we know everything is legit. He didn't like that we backed off...He requested a signed license so he could use the content on his sites and that was fine, he set us the license agreement...we signed, scanned and emailed back to him, that was not good enough and a few weeks later he tried to REFUND the paypal payments he had sent, even though he had all the content, all the 2257 and a signed/scanned copy of the license agreement..( but he wanted to refund because he needed a hard copy of that agreement) So we fed-ex it to him and told him to drop the dispute on Paypal, he didn't , even though he had everything he asked for. but he was unable to get his moneyback since it was over 45 days since he sent it ( the 1,2,3 payment) the 4th payment we won, because we proved he was sent the docs via fed ex and signed for it


in the end our paypal was blocked, I think his was too, not sure, but I just felt that was kinda shitty and really unwarranted. I wouldn't doubt if HE got Sologirlcontent banned, probably trying to get me banned right now, fuck him.

All I can say is, if you're dealing with him, get your money UPFRONT and by WIRE or Money Order.

Payment 3 of 4. Despite numerous attempts to retrieve my signed license since payment in full. Seller has yet to provide it. I have contacted him numerous times asking for it, was told it was sent, then asked again, told sent again. Then finally admitted it was never sent, and would send when he felt like it. I can't use material without the license, signed. So it is worthless.

How do you block a user on GFY?

Is the option somewhere? Can't find it right now to ignore a user. Also the option to report a bad post has been removed "it seems".
