'getting hammered' is the problem. Keep the hammer juice out of the blood and take a break. Go somewhere with warm sandy beaches for a month or so. Rent a villa and relax by the pool. It helps put shit back in perspective. (for me it does anyway)

I think you're right. I can't imagine a month, but I do notice that sometimes I don't even go anywhere but start this routine where I don't drink or anything and start taking long walks and sobering and doing less work but building up like I'm starting over again and I might not get as much done, but it seems more constructive despite.

Really though, you can take a month off and not even have a lap top around or anything? And if you do, don't you find yourself in the same routine but in a different environment (Maybe that's good by itself though)?

Absolutely not. When I gotta take a break and go somewhere, laptops and studio business stay behind. It defeats the purpose if you're bringing work along with.

You can do that for a month with no concerns. Man, how do you relax like that? I wish I could do that. I don't feel right seeing a movie if I don't have access to some type of internet connection - at least my phone.
