haha, that's done with older Sony hi-8 cams and a uv filter. You could indeed have that same view in Micky D's here in the US.
However I would still recommend a trip to Japan. You'll have the time of your life!

Nope, this is serious. It was in the news about 2 years ago because there was some buzz over whether it was done intentionally.
I know that I have a hi-8 that is supposed to do this though I've never tried with the filter....
