    Attention EX-GF content producers! Most of you suck....

    How can we use any of your content when you shoot everything in the same location?

    Do all the self shot pics in the same bathroom.

    Come on guys, know your market. What are we supposed to tell members? These are all EX-GFs of 1 guy?

    Also passing off your shitty content as ex-gf is also lame.

                                          Good observation. I put watermarked gallleries of my EX-GF content on my site (see sig) so potential customers can see the images, models & locations and know exactly what they would be licensing.

                                                  traditional producers have no idea how to shoot this content, myself included.
                                                  when i ask my client how they want it or give samples they direct me to a website with a hugely varied type ex gf content, didnt help me one bit.
                                                  so i asked more questions and as it turns out, content buyers are expecting the model in several different outfits and locations situations.. girl next door styles etc.
                                                  in this case less is more, meaning something everyone thinks is easy and cheap to produce actually become more difficult, more time consuming and more expensive...
                                                  cannot use same location over and over
                                                  model in different outfits / situation = time consuming and extra $$ to the model

                                                  me not trying to be difficult, just bringing this to attention so buyers are aware.

                                                                      The big secret is...wait for it..the PHOTOG does NOT shoot it...You tell the girl to shoot it, cellphones, cheap cameras, webcam snaps..when they finish, come pick up your money...rinse and repeat...and NOT everything needs to be NAKED and the bathroom..that's hardly natural

                                                                                      I think the majority of the problem here is that clients are not willing to pay what they used to (well most anyways).
                                                                                      Producers are cutting cost on locations, that is if they even use locations.

                                                                                      Makes for poor content.

                                                                                      One of the reasons we stopped producing non-exclusive content years ago and now just buy from others.....

                                                                                                          but from our point of view it makes no sense when someone only wants like 50 pictures and doesnt want to spend more than 20 bucks. it's not worth the hassle for us

I was pretty much the first to start selling and shooting this stuff full time (since last summer) and found out right away that I actually need to buy content from girls or have them shoot it at home etc, however I do shoot it also, so its tough to have a ton of different locations but I try.

                                                                                                                                      I've been selling this since MAY of last year..then everyone jumped on it...Since 07 I've letting the girls shoot their own videos and I paid by the tape..it's was the only way to get authentic TRUE solo amatuer girl footage...But..I'd leave the room and go watch TV, let the girls do the work, whether it be fuckin their BF or themselves..I don't need to be there if I want it to look REAL

                                                                                                                                                  You want amateur EX-GF but you are buying from content producers instead of direct from the amateurs? As a content producer, I know my primary market doesn't include content that is actually produced by others.

                                                                                                                                                  There are a couple people who provide the kind of content you seek but why pay their markup when you can buy direct? It's not like you have to deal with the headache of an actual production and that's where the real value of buying content from producers comes from.

                                                                                                                                                  Seems to me that you may be the one who does not know the market as you are going to the wrong sources and then wondering why you can not find what you really want/need. If I want a used VW Bug then I'm not going to go to the Honda dealership then tell them they don't have what I want.

But no one on the forum qualifies as a "traditional" content producer more than me. My IAFD.com listing as a porn director goes back to 1993. And I am doing quite well so far with my non-exclusive Ex-GF content. I have been pleasantly surprised by how many people that have never done business with me before for exclusive content have been hitting me up to license my non-exclusive content or even to shoot some exclusive sets with special themes for them. Whether you wanna call it Ex-GF, amateur, self-shot, or some of each, I believe the pics and vids can and should feature sexy young girls and different outfits & settings.

                                                                                                                                                                                              The surfer doesn't want high quality HD video with perfect lighting. They don't want your standard amateur type that a photographer did. EXGF is not amateur with a different name.

                                                                                                                                                                                              The exgf niche is all about the self shot type stuff, arms length shots, bathroom and bedroom mirror type stuff. Stuff they took themselves. Cell phone pics that the girlfriend sent to the boyfriend on the phone, "stolen" cellphone pics that the pissed off ex boyfriend shared with the internet. (Hence the "ex-gf" name...) Photos that the boyfriend and girlfriend made together. Crappy videos in normal bedroom lighting. Webcam videos of the chick masterbating over yahoo messenger.
