i think his point was that regardless of who suffered most or killed most what's important is to fix the future not constantly bring up the past as if it somehow makes today's behaviour o.k.. Zionism is a political ideology, has nothing to do with the religion or the citizenry. I have no problems with the state of Israel, so I could be a Zionist on that level I guess. But I'm not a Jew, nor a citizen of Israel, nor do I agree with Israeli government policy regarding Gaza, colonies or their treatment of Palestinians.
