    Question For Allergy Sufferers

    I have terrible Spring allergies.

    My routine is like this...

    I take a 24 hour non-drowsy Clariton every morning at around 9:00 or 10:00.

By around 10:00 in the evening the 24 hour pill has worn off (at around 12 hours).

Then I take a Benedryl as an allergy/sleeping pill at around midnight.

Then I do it again the next day.

    The Question Is:

Any of you fellow sufferers have any better suggestion(s) so I am not taking 2 medications a day?

I take Zyrtec-D, 12-hour formula, twice a day, one in the morning one at night. I used to be on Allegra-D but it was too expensive and generic Zyrtec-D is cheap as hell. IMO The Benadryl will make you feel like shit in the morning.

      Thanks.

      Is Zyrtec-D non-drowsy?

Can you fall asleep after taking it?

What are some of the side effects?

I tried everything out there and nothing really worked long term.
I take some kind of steroids shots from my doc every 4 to 6 month. He shoots in my shoulder and hurts like a bitch for about 30 minutes, but then Im able to breathe.

Dude Benadryl is rough stuff. I bet you'd feel pritty good if you stopped taking it.

When you wake up take a spoonful of Apple Cider Vinegar and a spoonful of Honey. Take it two or three times a day. It may sound gross but it WORKS!

If you can get local honey its even better because that honey is made with the pollen in your area.

You might also want to go to a health food store and buy some Bee Pollen.

            Good mom recipe.
My mother actually makes nose drops with some herbal stuff like that. Honey, cider and some other stuff. I cant handle that.

There you go. This is precisely what my grandma had me do when I was younger. I've mostly grown out of my allergies thankfully.

I take generic claritin from Costco. It works pretty good, but you are right, for a 24 hour pill, it could have better staying power.

Do any of the online snake oils work? I have a bit of traffic for allergies, just run it thru adsense currently

Yeah, I buy the generics once in a while as well.

Either way the "24 hr" pills lasts 12 hours, tops.
