$514 for a tire, very expensive. You can get 200 bus tickets instead of getting a tire.

A tire (American English) or tyre (British English) is a ring-shaped covering that fits around a rim to protect it and enable better vehicle performance by providing a flexible cushion that absorbs shock while keeping the wheel in close contact with the ground. The word itself may be derived from the word "tie", referring to the outer steel ring part of a wooden cart wheel that ties the wood segments together (see Etymology below).

Be glad you don't drive a Bugatti Veyron...

http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2010/01/...t/tab/article/

"The costs include:

• $10,000 tires, which the manufacturer recommends changing every 2,500 miles

• $60,000 for changing the wheels with every three tire changes."

Bit expensive, are they ridiculously low-profile run-flats or something else obscure? Or are you paying car dealer prices instead of tyre shop prices?

My last set of 4 only cost £320 fitted ($480)

And fuck getting 200 bus tickets, I havn't been on a bus for 20 years

For me that would hurt even more then when you actually buy the car.

My rears are about that much, 19s for some reason are more expensive than 20s Got 18s up front though so not a huge deal. The 345/30/19s I wanted were about that.. the 285/30/19s I have are a tad cheaper.

they put in a 245/40/20 tire on the rear , I know you can get em cheaper without the dealership but its under the insurance (wheel n tire) so I said do what ever All in all dealerships assrape ya just lucky the warranty is valid and all the maintenance on the car as well

These were the ones I wanted to get
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Pilot+Sport+ ZP&partnum=43YR9SPORTZP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCo mpare1=yes

This is what I ended up with
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+R E050A+Pole+Position&partnum=83YR9RE050APPXL&vehicl eSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

Because I didn't want to replace
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+Drag+Radial+2&partnum=325R5GTADR&vehic leSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

Every few thousand miles.

Sounds like you have a car not an SUV by the tire size?
