I saw one in LA when I was there for Xbiz. It was a Sony. They had the shutter glasses, so pretty amazing. They were playing soccer and it added a completely new dimension... sort of like what HD has done for sports, yet it wasn't over the top. No balls came flying out that I felt the need to try and catch, at any rate. Some of the color seemed washed out but I think that had more to do with the way the TV was tuned as opposed to the 3D aspect.

I've never seen one. What do they pop out at you or something?
They have those 3D TV's being advertised alot now that come with glasses.
what !!! You have never seen a 3d movie ? I remember seeing them when I was a teen at school then they just died a death ..just looks like things fly at you the whole movie dosent though, its just parts like when there are explosions or when jaws wants to eat you...
I remember the first (and only) 3d movie I ever saw. It was close to 20 years ago. The last Friday the 13th movie: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. The actual 3d part was only like 3 minutes near the end when Freddy dies and all the spirits fly out of him and it looked like they were jumping at you right out of the screen. It was very cool, but short.

I recently went to Best Buy to see what they had. I watched the Panasonic and the Samsung. The Panasonic was hands down better and did not require the $179 glasses. Honestly, its nothing special. Its more gimickly then anything and hows going to hand kids expensive glasses to break.

The new 3d vs the old red/blue cardboard glasses is totally different. Much more crisp.
