Where did you get that pic from?

www.flightradar24.com but the site is getting a lot of traffic at the moment and doesn't always load.

I don't know their criteria for having flights on there so I don't know how accurate it is.

You might see this instead: kopplingen misslyckades :)

That is costing each airline 5 to 10 million in loss per day....
Each country has many airlines, look at how many countries have no planes in the air the last 48 hours....
Boy that sums up quite a loss here.

Rentalcars are now hard to get and if you find any, they go for 1K per day....

A radar image shows the crater, which looks like the nightmarish face painted by Edvard Munch Read

That's an option indeed. Will take forever to get there from Holland (and back).
I prefer a 2 hour flight more :winkwink:

Michael from Hustler is stuck in the UK also for days.

Did I just read a small plane crashed in the UK (possibly to do with the ash)?

At least he has the means to afford it Jacques - London Hotels not renowned for their cheapness lol

Not aware of any plane crashes since none of them can fly atm!

Haven't heard any news of a crash over here. Nothing on the BBC I can see.

There are the odd few flights in the UK but only on a case by case basis.

Been quite a lot of tiddly little planes here the last couple of days but nothing I would consider passenger carrying.

Ah yes I see it now. It happened on Saturday.

?From what we know of the accident so far, there?s no reason to connect it to the atmospheric conditions from the volcano.?

That is why I asked my British friend if he knew it was a fact or not.
Guess it's just the media playing their old tricks again, getting more viewers without real news value.

They might be able to Sarah - there is a phased reintroduction of airspace from 22:00 tonight. And they are not alone. According to Reuters, there are 40k fellow Americans stranded here...

They were told to go to Heathrow this morning so it looks like they may make it.

You want to be the one to make that call and then have an accident happen on your watch? People are all experts after things happen.

TheDA 05-17-2010 02:25 AM

What's this now, 4th, 5th, 6th time UK airports have closed because of this?
