Protests have always had there place. I am sure that people were protesting more than just the Iraq war with President Bush, just as people are protesting more than just health care with President Obama. But to have a group that is striving to become a political force announce that it wants to start its own militia to "defend against what they believe are improper federal infringements" is not looking for debate on issues or to vote out those they don't agree with. When your announcement states "Buy more guns, more bullets." you are simply trying to influence through fear, which is never going to help.

I don't like guns or killing or fighting. But I definitely do not want the people in power with all the fire power too, that is very very dangerous. The guys who wrote the constitution knew that militias were necessary just in case the government got out of hand. I actually thought the tea party was awesome when it started. Then after the Ron Paul campaign somehow Palin and Beck got in there and totally fucked it in the ass. Most of their beliefs are total opposite of the constitution idea that started the tea party. It almost seems like this "revolution" is planned and the followers are just being led to the slaughter, I hope they wake up to this.

Yes because a few idiots with guns really pose a threat to the government. Please, the right to bear arms is fine to defend your home, but if you think a militia of ignorant rednecks can do anything against national guard/ army is just stupid. A few idiots with guns? Try millions of Americans taking up arms. You think the police could stop that? You're a brain dead sheep. Besides if things really went that far American troops wouldn't turn on their own country men. I don't believe things have gone that far yet.

Ironically these same idiot go around saying "support the troops" and say how our army is the best in the world. Yet at the same time not only would they attack those same troops they feel our "best in the world" troops are so incompetant that a bunch of bubbas with deer rifles and shotguns can defeat them.Comment
