This whole job entails digging into the mind of the consumer, picking over stats, analyzing data. All this data points to one solid undeniable fact. That the majority of the population is absolutely fucking retarded.
I thought it was rough when I started gaining an understanding of people's perversions promoting adult. Running the numbers, seeing what terms got the most searches. Seeing exactly what people were searching for online, and in what capacities. I thought I could escape this mind-melting catastrophe that is the adult industry when I started getting into mainstream promotions. Fuck me, the perversion you see in adult promo is mild. My primary mainstream income is in weightloss and beauty related products. Which when I began understanding more, almost, maybe even exceeds the disgust I found in adult.
Maybe I'm having some difficulty expressing the feeling I am having right now because I am stoned as shit, but this whole 'feeling' has been creeping up on me more and more. Like the only thing aside from money that I've taken away from the whole internet marketing world , is a distinct hatred for people in general.
I dunno, this is a rambling post, but does anyone even relate a little to it? I'm disgusted by both my own business, the business I promote, and the consumer. If this business has done anything to me, it seems like it seems as though the primary effect it has had, is that I have lost all faith in humanity. Sometimes I feel like I'd be further off in life digging ditches for a living, being oblivious to everything....
