Maybe it's just that I'm a dick but I use to check the local "classmates", cause I'm curious about my former classmates. And most often than not, there's a fresh serving of new "wedding" pictures.

The trouble is it looks exactly like a terrible amateur photo shoot from a start of a wedding porn movie - like all those corny interiors, people looking terribly unnatural, weird grims, unfitting wedding dresses, the same locations (castles, parks, all kinds of flora and fauna), weird posing, the same fake smiles.. I wonder how much did they burn on the "wedding photographer".

And it's not like someone can post one or two that look ok to show their wedding pictures and comment, they gotta upload the WHOLE wedding portfolio!

So you're watching the picture # 27 and you're devastated, but the next person has to upload even more pictures to show their wedding was more expensive and they had better weather and were in better shape and less drunk..

but hey what do i know the 50%+ divorce rate must be false.

the best is i have 2 really good girl friends who are also best friends with eachother.

one of them last year decided to get married, and the other girl bashed her as if she was crazy. then guess what all of a sudden the other girl also was going to get married.

it is like women see one of their friends in a white gown and start to lose it like their life will be over if they are not married by 30. really hilarious. that's why they pop out a kid and the divorce follows.

And the funniest thing is, the wifey is a little bit chubby most of the time, she used to be a bit fatter but when the marriage came they lose as much weight as they can to look good for everyone and the pics. Then once they are married, they let their control go and start getting fatter and fatter, get kids, get a haircut, and before you know it your beautiful true love went from a cute girl to a fat bull dyke within a few years. Hooray for marriage!

We're talking about high school graduation year 2001, so it's not even that hardcore biological clocks ticking yet, although yeah, it's coming up already..

A guy I know since childhood never got laid at the high school,

this I know for a fact,

not that there would be anything wrong with him - he was OK, tall and I would even say handsome, normal dude that you can have a beer with etc.

It's just he was never good with girls, like trying to attract too much attention and sensitive talk crap etc., so he always got a lot of attention, but never any pussy.

I remember a deja vu - we're sitting in a bar - four or five guys from the same year, different schools, and we're having a beer, making a bet who'll get married first.

Guess who won the nomination, and guess who got married first in 2007 with his first girlfriend ever after he got her pregnant...

And it's a sudden change -

cause it's not really him anymore, the only thing he ever talks about is money, the kid, the job, the wife, where will they go for holidays, the new flat etc. etc. basically shit that's conversational, but as conventional as it goes.

Like if he tried to assure you that he's doing well.

What's also interesting is that it's almost exclusively really dull and unoriginal people getting married early,

like those that I'm sure will never surprise you with anything - the same talk, same crap, very predictable people - a clan that is shopping in the same shopping center, driving the same economy cars, wearing the same "I'm too old to wear this shit but it's in vogue" clothes.

Like I have nothing whatsoever against marriage,

if you feel for her if you love her do it,

no questions asked, it may even work out, do whatever you want to do, whatever you feel is right.

But don't make it just another square ritual that's as fake as those ridiculous photos.
