Why can't IE get it's shit together?
Can someone explain to me how one of the biggest companies in the world with some of the brightest minds can't put together the man power to release a browser that is at least within like 3 years of the current browsers capabilities? Why the fuck is IE so damn shitty seriously?
I can sort of understand their OS being shitty because it's a damn OS, that can get pretty complicated, but a browser? Is it really that difficult to implement new things, keep up with standards and keep bugs to a minimum? Is it because they don't want to 'conform' to other browsers standards and want to have their own special shitty way of doing things? Because that sure as hell isn't working out.. |

I can't say I can explain it. They're letting their monopoly of browsers go pretty easily it seems. I dunno what the breakdown of usage is now but I gotta imagine Chrome especially is eating up share of both Firefox and IE. I can at least speak for myself and say I care much more about my time than about bells and whistles, and having said that I almost never use anything but Chrome now.

I know everyone is switching, because IE is obviously taking 3-10x the amount of time to do something, I just don't understand why it is so difficult for them to make a better browser when they have all the resources on earth to do so.

IE is truly pathetic, I only use it for testing layouts - I can't fathom why they are making it so retarded... I switched to Chrome because 8 was so awful, they clearly don't seem to give to tosses about the Browser monopoly

Still waiting for some kind of browser expert to give any kind of clue why IE is this way.. it's so ridiculous and makes no sense at all when anyone can just come along and make a better more compliant browser. |

Are any of the other browsers subjected to as many hacking attempts as IE? It seems like far more people are out to screw Microsoft and they have to work a lot harder to keep those people away. There's no question IE sucks though. Big balls.

Good question but a easy solution, firefox and thunderbird are both great and free as I'm sure you know.

I know there are better browsers but it's a moot point. Like 50% of people are still using IE so it would be stupid to ignore that task of making sure your site(s) show correctly in it.
lol I sent their support a copy of the OP for the hell of it and they replied something about "if you're website is created in microsoft web publisher and you're having trouble please call xxxxxxxxxx", fucking retards. |
