Dumbest Movie Ever - ORPHAN - lol!

This is without a doubt one of the worst written screenplays ever. There is no attention paid whatsoever to simple human motivation, nor is a logical sequence of events even planned out. Everyone should watch this movie just to see how unimportant a screenplay is to getting a movie made. In Hollywood there is always hope and anything is possible. You don't need an once of talent or even common sense. Just find the right dick to suck on and you too can get your project green lighted.

All I want to know is with all the screenplays sitting on the shelves of movie studios that will never get made, what fucking USC grad genius picked up this script and said, "this one just has to be made" with all that enthusiasm it takes to get one done. It wasn't great, but not as horrible as you're making it out to be. At least Vera Farmiga made it a little better with her great performance. I have to admit, that's the first twist in a while that I couldn't see coming. Also, I didn't know anything about the movie before watching it.

He must have blackmailed the mother with the role in The Departed to see how badly she wanted that part! What a hoot! She sure earned that part in The Departed if that's what happened.

You're right though Vera Farmiga can act, but if you don't have a believable role it's hard to do any actual acting
