Anyone have a new Smart electric meter?

The power company said there going to install a new smart meter on my home next month. I have read that other people with these meters have had there power bills go up hundreds of dollars.

from what i have heard is the old style meters weren't very accurate. these smart meters read absolutely everything. also, they will be charging more for 'peak' times. so unless you start doing laundry/dishes/etc at off hours your bills will definitely increase.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

I've had a smart meter on my house for over a year now and there has been no significant change in its measuring of usage. if anything it solved the problem of the hydro provider 'guessing' what my usage was for 3 months and then owing me money back when they took the actual reading.

I had one installed last summer, but don't recall seeing an increase. I do remember that at one point during the fall our power bill fell to $57 for one month because we never turned on the heat or the AC.

Our power company also installed something onto our AC unit that throttled it. They told me it would cut down the power usage by 50%.

Yeah, that cut off on your air happens at the same time everyday if you're running your air, brother has it on his house
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                think about that
