As John Cleese said a lot of Americans don't like people brighter than themselves and that's exactly what is required for a President. See the full interview.
As for Palin I find it amazing that people even consider her as the next President.Comment

I cannot believe that people don't see her for what she is - a money-grubing attention whore who has figured out the way to get very rich. As long as she gives speeches, "writes" books and drops hints about her plans to run for pres, she can continue raking in the big bucks. Like Newt Gingrich, she is at least smart enough to realize that as long as you may run but don't actually run, people think you are important and want to hear what you have to say. Remember what happened to Fred Thompson as soon as he stopped being a potential candidate and became an actual candidate - it all turned to shit. Same for Guliani.Comment

And in case you did not know:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/1..._n_358894.htmlSarah Palin suggests in her memoir, "Going Rogue" that she doesn't believe in evolution.
Elsewhere in this volume she talks about creationism, saying she "didn't believe in the theory that human beings -- thinking, loving beings -- originated from fish that sprouted legs and crawled out of the sea" or from "monkeys who eventually swung down from the trees."

Only John McCain has decided to toss away his career based on her. She repeated a speech several times this weekend to cheering crowds. Who when interviewed often were anti-McCain, but pro-Palin.
2000 was McCains year, and Bush/Rove rolled over him and made minced meat out of him and he's never recovered.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

She is not a tea party darling either. She maybe the fake tea party darling (the one the media talks about) but the real tea partiers dislike her.

Here's the part I want to quote:
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney -- 22 percent
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- 7 percent
Look at that. 1 term quitter gets the identical introduction as someone who served their entire time in office.
What the fuck. Lets get it correct: Former partial quitting in disgrace and stupidity governor of Alaska. hehe43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

For him it was all about getting into the White House and once he realized that would never happen he stopped caring IMO.
2000 really was his year but he still had a slight chance this last time around, providing that he took the right risks and that he got lucky.
Selecting Palin as a running mate was his Hail Mary pass and for the briefest of moments it looked like he just might score the winning touchdown.
And then the Wall Street banks melted down.
I almost feel bad for the guy.Comment

well we could do worse for the next president, we could get Obama againCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about thatComment

I found it amazing that she passed the laugh test enough to be allowed on tv, much less into a presidential campaign. Now it seems the party is waggling her around as a distraction while they're busy working on something else. What they're working on I don't know.... but it probably resembles Mount Doom.
