For him it was all about getting into the White House and once he realized that would never happen he stopped caring IMO.
2000 really was his year but he still had a slight chance this last time around, providing that he took the right risks and that he got lucky.
Selecting Palin as a running mate was his Hail Mary pass and for the briefest of moments it looked like he just might score the winning touchdown.

well we could do worse for the next president, we could get Obama againCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

I found it amazing that she passed the laugh test enough to be allowed on tv, much less into a presidential campaign. Now it seems the party is waggling her around as a distraction while they're busy working on something else. What they're working on I don't know.... but it probably resembles Mount Doom.
