    I just got offered $310 for my youtube account

    $310 to transfer complete control of my account to them... probably because I have a vid with 3.4 million views.

    Reckon it's worth it? :D Never really thought about a market for trading or selling accounts, but now that I've come across it I'm not surprised that it exists.

                  If they don't make money off your account themselves, they'll arbitrage it for more on some russian or blackhat forum.

                                              I guess some older accounts can do things that newer accounts can't do. That would be one reason why there's a premium on some accounts.

                                                                                                              Does your account have something to do with the video? I mean you could recreate the same "High Views Video" effect from a different youtube account, right? In that case, you could sell your present account.

                                                                                                                  It's a bit like a domain you register on impulse... you just "know" you're going to do something big with it, but when that is actually going to happen is the question!

                                                                                                                  Future views on the existing popular vid can be used to generate views on new vids or even direct clicks... but I have to get around to doing that first. Maybe a one-off payment wouldn't be so bad. ;)
