time machine, you can use an external or internal, wish there was something like this for PC, easiest to use backup.

If you just want to clone a drive use carbon copy, can schedule it to keep an exact bootable clone daily:

Time machine does not clone your drive or give you a bootable back up

you want to use superduper to do that.
