wouldn't change a thing,
Success is always hard work, regardless of what you know, it still has to be implemented. Luckily I put in the effort back then, but I would not go back to "re-work", fucking 18 hour day workloads for a decade is no fun. |
At any stage of the game, It was never easy,
fuck I was doing expired domains during 1998, It still wasn't easy I was mailing NEW DOMAIN REGISTRATION domain.com to networksolutions for domains, It still wasn't easy. Shit was never fucking easy even when you knew how much money there was to be made. Everyday was a fucking grind up regardless of how "easy" it looked in hindsight. |
Most people given the tools wouldn't have succeeded even if you gave them a roadmap on how to succeed, If you didn't succeed back then, it wasn't because of what you didn't know, it was because of how little of a grindup you did.
If you grinded, you made money, If you didn't, you sat around and jerked your cock all day, That does not make money. Congrats to all the winners. |
If I had my current experience 10 years ago I would do many things completely different...

I would have worked harder and reinvested more. I got my start keyword bombing Altavista. In 98-99 Altavista was one of the biggest search engines out there. It didn't take me long to figure out that you could build a site with 5 pics on it. several banners and links to sponsors, then spam your chosen keyword all over it and submit it to them. Within 48 hours you would be listed. Sometimes I got a top 10 spot. Sometimes a top 5 and sometimes lower than 50. But I made a few dozen of these sites a day and submitted them to altavista and spammed them in the appropriate usenet newgroups and was doing pretty well with them.
I thought it was so easy I wasted a lot of time just screwing off and not focusing. As things changed I had to buckle down more. I should have really focused more when things were easy and good. |
i would have stayed out of porn lol
biggest problem for most guys in porn over the last 10 years wasn't doing things wrong, it was spending the piles and piles of money we earned doing things right. i should have just stayed a corporate drone rather than eating all that gold and now starving like the rest. |

kane,
Not trying to jab you , but we did the same thing, I did a lot of subdomain spamming on altavista. But get this... I used over 100 new domains a day * 500 subdomains each = 50,000 new subdomains daily. Every 2-3 days they all get banned, I get another batch of 100 domains So in your case, you did 12 sites? I did 50,000 sites a day... Money is made in the scale! |
I would start screaming bloody murder that Al Qaeda had a plot to hijack planes and fly them into the trade towers, the commodity futures modernization act was going to cause a financial meltdown before the end of the decade, there are no WMDs in Iraq, and saved all my money to invest in Google and Apple.

1. Buy tons of Euros
2. Buy as many investment properties as possible. 3. Buy 1000000 shares of Apple. 4. Try to fuck my math teacher. Regards! :pimp |
would just do the same

To stay on topic, I would've done the same thing ten years ago because I've always had to move through life with my hands tied behind my back. :Oh crap |
Would not of done a lot different. Was making very good money from magazines and the content store was kicking off and starting to make money. I suppose if I could go back I would of started a paysite earlier.
