Bump for exposing the scammers that make doing a legitimate transfer harder!

In other news, has anyone seen u-bob around? I don't need a transfer or anything but my ICQ says he was last seen on 5/14 ... I thought he was pretty much always online? I hope all is well...

Unfortunately GFY is where a lot of these scammers lurk.

Basic principles like knowing who you are trading with, and avoiding obvious pitfalls do come into play. Eg exchanging anything for paypal is very risky. Also don't trust people just because they did a couple of small transfers with you .. its a well known tactic and has a surprisingly good success rate as webmasters are lulled into a false sense of security.
