What constitutes it as the best watch you ever bought?

I'm not a big watch person I just like the way it feels, realistically my first nice watch that didn't cost over 100 bucks, I tried on a few omega, etc and I just liked the tag the best.

100% personal preference.

I like my Tag and Fossil watches... Fossil has many cool watch styles and they don't cost a ton. I never found an Omega that caught my eye for the right price, but they are still rather sharp looking.

First nice watch I bought was a Speedmaster, so Omega will always be special to me. Its strap is a better made thing than my Rolex Sea dweller, no pressed metal and much more comfortable.

So to sum up, great gardening watch, but not braggable.

Real grown ups wear IWC, which is next on my list, meaning I get to skip Brietling completely.

Cool - that's what i would think too. Totally personal preference, because I know most all the Swiss movements are good watches.

I like Tag but have always thought their styling was a bit "older" similar to Rolex. I have found Omega to be hip to the day (purely my opinion) but now Tag has come out with some cool sporty style watches.

Thanks for the info.

check out the tag aquaracer, i have the blue automatic version its not oldish looking its more modern and sporty which is what I was looking for. Something I can wear at the office and around and then something I can dive into the water with at the beach. It goes with everything.

I love Omegas, but tend to be drawn to the older ones. I've got a Speedmaster, a Seamaster, and a Constellation with a pie pan face.

Check out Waldan International, a watch maker in NY, he puts out beautiful watches. I've got a moonphase.

Also IWC, great classic watches.

I have a watch addiction, I may have more than 1.

I have a serious watch fetish. 2 Omegas, 2 Tags, 1 Montblanc, and a few Fossils for everyday use. Omega was the first I bought, so I always tend to lean towards them.

The problem with the watch industry is there's been an explosion of $20, $50, 100k watches... The stuff in the $3-10k range just isn't as interesting once you do the comparison.

I'd rather have 6 pack abs and my $150 Vestal stainless watch, personally.

Ha!

Yeah, I have this:

So many Vancouver geek poseurs wear blinged-out watches with diamonds and sparkling shit on them to match their equally faggy sparkling shirts and jeans with crystals on the pockets. They look like transexual unicorns jizzed magic faerie dust all over them.

I've had so many compliments on this watch, and people are shocked when I say it's only $150. Also, the fucking thing will take a BEATING and not break. I accidentally dropped a huge piece of plywood on it while building my loft and it survived without a scratch.

I haven't worn a watch since about 1994. I'm not a jewellery wearer either so it's partially not feeling the need to have something big and shiny on my wrist and partially never really having to be anywhere at a fixed time.

I love watches but stopped wearing them because they cause stress.

And DH knows that me being angry and stressed out is a bad thing for people around me.

watch companies and car companies have to start thinking about the younger population

anything under 40mm doesnt sell well in these days at least to the 18-35yr old market, even the rolex presidential is going out of style at least by the younger crowd as the watch is simply too small for them.
