I think the writing is quick and the characters are allowed to really exploit their stereotypes - bitchy ex wife, crazy stalker neighbor, beefy maid, henpecked ex husband, wild bachelor. And I have to say the kid is an excellent actor. |

British comedy at its finest is stuff like Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones....in my view, anyway. |
Outnumbered ...was one recent British sitcom I did like.
|
I get to watch from time to time BigBang, Friends ( I know it was canceled ) and also Two and a Half Men.

My misses started watching it, then I joined her. Its very funny. I do hope they make another series.:2 cents: US Sitcoms like King of queens & raymond keep myself amused in the middle of the day when I want a brake from filming, editing or the PC. |
that fat lady Bertha from 2 and a half men is funny as hell

Community is consistently funny with a good cast.
Modern Family is the same. Parks and Recreation is surprisingly strong in its second season. |
Mine have all been mentioned:
It's Always Sunny (which I've been hearing about forever and finally managed to catch) Two and a Half Men Big Bang (excellent taste, Sarah) How I Met Your Mother I'm hearing killer things about Archer, too. |
I keep meaning to watch It's Always Sunny. Being originally from Philly I perked when I saw it mentioned in a tv line up over here a couple years back. I watched a few episodes and thought it was okay (but not amazing) and was willing to give it more of a shot. Then, I couldn't find it again on that channel. I am sure it is around somewhere on cable.
