WTF happened on American Idol last nite?

i doubt i will be tuning in for the remainder of the season, it wasn't like this season has been spectacular anyhoo, but jeez after last nite.........ugh.

I havent watched it at all yet this season beyond flipping around channels. Seems everytime I look, someone is playing guitar and singing. Did they change the rules or something?

yes, they've allowed instruments on for a while now, but last nite more than a couple very talented contestants got the boot.

What's the big deal if a guy watches American Idol? How does it question his manhood at all? Fuck, I watch a ton of the so-called reality TV (Idol, Survivor, Amazing Race, Top Model--yes, Top Model, I dig the photo shoots). I know it sucks, but I'm strangely addicted to it. Not like I'm watching Sex In the City or anything, though I am captivated by both Life Unexpected and The Vampire Diaries.

As for American Idol, I think most of the top 24 this season sucks ass, so I couldn't care less who got cut last night. Final two should be Crystal Bowersox and Casey James. Everybody else sucks in my opinion. And I can't stand Lee Dewyze. I don't get why the judges rave about him. His voice is always pitchy, he butchered "Lips of An Angel," and he just sucks.

I watched it with my wife....
the last blonde girl that got voted off last night is great. Very original, great voice. But the 16 yr old girl probably stayed because of all the young girls voting for her instead. Thats the way the ball bounces when the fans vote.

I thought Lilly was good, too. She was probably the only one I wished wouldn't have gone home last night. I think the judges fucked up back in Hollywood week by cutting a bunch of people that were better than the current crop (i.e. that Mary chick that sounded like Pat Benetar).

I like Michael Lynch; I do think he is one of the better male singers, but there's nothing great about him to push him to the end.

Also survivor and amazing race. Good stuff if you watch from start to finish.

Anyway, theres alot of talent on there this year. I agree though the black woman should have gone instead of the russian looking chick. Then on the flip side mullet boy should have stayed while the other dude went home.

Owell, in another week we'll all forget about them being voted off anyway.

Anybody also watch NCIS, CSI vegas, and Mentalist?

and then lately the new Undercover Boss is pretty good.

Lost is back on now too, been catching up from last season on their website.

I dont think its bad at all that people watch these shows by themselves or with loved ones. When im not working I like to go in with my girl and watch tv together. We do alot of other activities together of course but watching these shows makes me get off the pc at night to actually spend some time together.

What the fuck is with the high school mentality on this board? I fail to see how watching a "singing" competition that has main stream appeal makes one gay.
