    Mainstream Affiliate Programs Fucking SUCK

    Bunch of slack-jawed morons at the helm of these programs who have no idea what internet marketing is.

    I always felt we were spoiled in adult with our affiliate support and tools. Now I know for sure.

                  Adult programs hold affiliate hands WAY too much - how can you not think you get all the tools you need when it comes to the average adult program?


                  Mainstream programs in the first place have a screening process to get the "privilege" of YOU promoting THEM. This has always irritated the shit out of me to begin with. Then these affiliate support fucks have no idea what they're talking about.

                  In this instance I was asking for access to a data feed from Amazon that is ALREADY AVAILABLE and their canned response was to read a book or ask a friend for help with setting up something entirely unrelated. No phone number, no IM sofwtare in place - you can't even email the affiliate support directly or reply to the email you get.

                  I replied back clarifying, and used the word "bullshit" and my account was closed.

                  Now THAT deserves a "" but it more felt like a:

                              Yes that is one of reason why i avoid mainstream programs,for example what i find very stupid you have program like CJ where you can sell various programs for commision,but you cant signup once and be approved,every fucking program which you want to promote you need to be approved and it have special rules as well.Plus in most cases programs offer only check as payout which is totally unacceptable.I will either stick always with adult or maybe create my own program in mainstream.

                                                          Yeah CJ is a prime example of the lack of efficiency out there.

                                                          I have this terrible experience with NeverBlue a couple years ago that was a good lesson in the stigma adult STILL has to this day.

                                                          People forget or are not even aware that the commercialization of the internet wouldn't have even been possible if it weren't for teh dirty pron.

They just offer a nice managed set it and forget it solution.

                                                                                                                                                                                      I think AAN and adult gateway programs have the potential to change the adult affiliate landscape massively. Maybe even in a good way if they are operated properly. The scary part is that CPALead appears to be a very strongarm sort of program that doesn't appear to care one way or the other about piracy. It's a silent giant waiting to rise. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out and if it survives..

                                                                                                                                                                                          I think the high payouts per survey/offer and ease of use is whats attracting webmasters to it and whether they can continue to pay out that much we will see in the future.
