I received a letter from the IRS yesterday and I was just now re-reading it. The IRS says that I owe them money. I will not state the amount other than to say it is a substantial amount. I am going to give my accountant a Xmas gift today by calling him and informing him that I will no longer have any need of his services. If this seems to be premature on my part without allowing him to go over the records in an effort to prove the IRS wrong, it isn't. I have had this problem more than once using this accountant. He is, maybe was a friend, or I would have dismissed him prior to this. I will have someone else go over my records and see what they come up with, but if past history repeats itself, I will have to pay the IRS. It will really be no more than an irritant to pay them as I have the money, but it is a definite irritant. In fact I am somewhat pissed. Merry fucking Xmas to my accountant and the crew at the IRS.

your making big money......
Always keep some deductions in your pocket...
That way when you get audited, it costs them money...

I have followed this advice and after 3 audits, they leave me alone now.

Well...to prove the IRS is wrong is difficult, but I have heard of such cases. In the past when my accountant double checked his work, he admitted the IRS was correct. I suspect that will be the case again. Once again, lest anyone think that I am being premature about dismissing my accountant, this has happened more than once prior to this. After the very first time I told him that I did not want any attempt at creative accounting, that if he was in any doubt to err on the side of the IRS. Being a long time friend from years back, when I hired him to be my accountant, I think he was just trying to hard to save me money. I hope we remain friends and will as far as I am concerned. This is just a business decision for me.

Upon reflection I do not want to upset his familie's Xmas so I will wait until after the holiday to inform him that I will no longer need his services. I am not his only client, of course, so my dismissal will not hurt his bank account all that much. It is just better to wait to inform him until after the holiday.

We shalt be most uptight in our typing manner. Prior to this, the dismissal of the case was irrelevent. If a person should decide to type in such a manner, then one can respect the fact that they have made a decision based on personal fortune. It is somewhat annoying. However, in my grace, I personally can accept all mannerism of uptight typing methods within online insinuations of unprofessional conduct. I am curious as to whether any other person will join me in these upright typing methods. theking has already kindly opted into this society. Shall we begin the induction of any other person present here today?

Piece of advice...be damn careful what you say during testimony..I have a business associate in my mainstream business that begins a 3 year prison sentence-Jan 2nd for perjury,that began with an IRS audit..His accountant also let some things *slip through the cracks* The 3 year sentence was a plee agreement.. The IRS was gunning for 30 years!

There will not be any testimony. I will have another accountant go over my records and dependent upon what he/she has to say (and if, as I have stated, history repeats itself I will owe the money) I will start from there. If I owe the money I will pay it.

He is a long time friend and I hired him because he was a friend. This is not the first time he fucked up and I had to pay additional money. I will not go to the slammer, there will not be any court case. It is just a notice that I owe money. I have received them before since using this accountant and I have had to pay before and I am assuming that I will have to pay again. Once another accountant goes over my records if he says I owe, which I highly supsect that he will, I will pay.

Well...I have had another accountant go over my records and as I expected I have to pay the whole amount that the IRS is demanding. Accountants, attorneys and the IRS are stand up kind of guys. The problem is they want you to bend over.
