base seo steps are pretty easy, people just believe in magic of seo guru, but there are nothing difficult ... some simple webmasters skills and a lot of work, want faster - all depends on your pocket size.

Brad speaks words of wisdom.

I haven't worked directly for others in 7 years, other than the odd "assist" for mates here and there (and if it's "involved", I'll then give them my time on a commission basis).

Seriously OP, there's actually some solid advice in this thread already. Learn the basics of search engine marketing, totally redesign all your sites, and you're half way there :upsidedow

It is a good thread with some basic knowledge... the thing is that I know it.. its just time. Id rather find a guru w tons of experience in SEO and cut them in on the action. Put people who are specialists in the right spots. I believe thats what brings success.... sure everyone can do it themselves... but the other method is finding 5 star people and put them in each area. Itll cost more or get cut up more, but it will make more money and bring more traffic that can be played with in other ways to make $.

Cut on what action? You're offering a cut in on the action for the "guru" but you have no action, and want someone to bring it for you (and then cut them in ? wtf?).

So what you really want, is for someone to cut YOU in on THEIR action, and send you traffic.

There isn't a single webmaster out there selling a product that wouldn't love to 'cut in' a traffic sender for sending them traffic.

If I had a dime for everyone that wanted to pay for real advice, or real search engine information, and then just pitch me to send them traffic I wouldn't need to send traffic anywhere to anybody, I'd have enough dimes to feed everyone.

Exactly. I learned a long time ago that making some type of partnership, where someone else provides the site/service, and I provide SE traffic, is no better (and often times worse) than any standard affiliate program agreement.

If the OP wants any real consideration from a good SEO, they should offer $$$ upfront. Not dangle some cut in on the action talk. Too many unknowns/experiences getting screwed or disappointed with that.

Oh christ, time to open a beer and watch this one unfold.

Not smart burning bridges around here, especially when the person in question is in the top 5 most qualified to help you on these boards.

Best of luck with your BP sites.

Hey.. he talked shit about my program.... he knows nothing about my traffic and sales but assumed he does. Its obviously hits a nerve for him... likely from a ton of bullshit he has seen & heard in this industry... there's plenty of it.... so I dont blame him.

But.... Im in it to make money, run a quality program and get some help along the way. Is that a crime? Never asked for free advice.... & dont expect it. Looking for people that are interested in working with me on my program. I dont know why it has to get so dramatic for everyone. Obviously its a topic that gets people going. So be it... have a beer and enjoy! :drinkup

Thanks. Based on the way people treat other people in this industry, Im suprised anyone builds quality relationships. Its out of control. A few good people here and there... but not many.

I waited for two hours and turned on ICQ because you asked, and you never contacted me. The irony is thick with this one Luke. Too bad, I was kind of interested in this, but now I'm way too busy... good luck in your search. :thumbsup

Just because I'm curious at this point, if you send me details I'll take a look at it and tell you what it'll take to get it done, at a fair price from a good SEO. Disclaimer - I have my own projects and won't do it myself - but I'll at least let you know what you can expect.

People can keep info to themselves... thats fine. Its the one I work with that will make all the $. If I was a specialist and I saw good content, I wouldnt be pushing away easy money.

if you are not providing "good" ad tools, trust me, they will ignore you.. there is lots of good program, with tons of ad tools, up to date...
