They are pouring 15 billion USD into infrastructure before the games. Add in the world cup in 2014 and hopefully Rio will benefit from the world spot light from all of this BUT it does seem as if the gaains are before the games and it is better to sell before then reap the rent benefits of the 17 days. Is that what you are hearing too? There is a definite benefit to the tourist industry for a few years after the games. |
and Jay Leno is back....................:(

It was pretty intense! Especially the city after the Gold Medal Game. I can tell you that its much easier to work downtown now without a carnival outside your office. At least our employees can come back to work now.

Kinda brought the country closer together, even though it will be short lived.wasn't a perfect games but over all I think it was a great success.now we gotta pay for it for another 20+ years

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! :waaaaahh :waaaaahh :waaaaahh :sadcrying |
big reason i left vancouver was those stupid olympics. It used to be a normal, quiet city. Olympics announced, everything skyrockets in price, gangs arrive, murders start happening, etc.

I must say I wasn't a huge fan going in but what a great party! I got tickets to go watch Canada Russia and that was amazing. Probably the most expensive piss up our city has ever and will ever see!
