So Sunday night we checked out the HeavyMTL Heavy Metal festival and saw bands like Chimaira, Hatebreed, 5 Finger Death Punch, Korn, and Lamb of God (I missed Megadeth and Alice Cooper unfortunately).
If I had to guess there was over 25,000 people at this event. All the bands were great and the sound was good most of the time, but sometimes they had 2 bands playing at the same time which must have made a few people more than pissed off.
Anyway, the highlight of the show for us was ROB ZOMBIE. We've seen him several times and his shows are always the best. Great songs, fun theatrics, and a cool mix of Horror and Sci Fi, with a little Devil Worship throw in just for fun.
We managed to be 5 rows from the front of the stage and were pretty comfortable, elbow-room wise, until the show started at which time we were CRUSHED by a mass of stinky sweaty metal heads! But who cares? ROB ZOMBIE had hit the stage and put on a great fucking show. Here are some pics!
