          Got a question for you came up last night as we were watching olympic hockey.

          Why is hockey not big in Norway, at least not like it is in neighboring countries such as Finland and Sweden? Any reason the game never really caught on there?

                  You read my mind I swear. I asked a friend this during the game. Noway = inferior yet Finland and Sweden = powerhouses.

                  I guess Norsk are too busy looking at their beautiful country and allowing gay marriage to be good at hockey.

                      Not really sure actually - it has always wondered me too. We have a decent league but never made it big on the world stage. Too few players in the NHL does not help either.

                      Go figure.

                      But then again, we rule both Sweden and Finland in Curling!

                                          I didn't get that Hjelmeseth quote, do you have a link to it in norwegian?

                                          There are only around 30 hockey stadiums in norway, that's a big reason why it's not bigger here.
