check your tran fluid
|
"My car broke down, my gf left me - I've had enough, I give up I give up"
Are you gonna kill yourself? |
Yeah do what Helix said, I had a Pontiac one time that was getting trans fluid into the engine, it smoked quite a bit until my uncle fixed it. He knew right what the problem was.
general rules for smoke - white means coolant leak somewhere, into the combustion chamber. Usually a cracked head or a bad head gasket. grey or blue-grey means oil is getting into the combustion chamber, either past the piston rings or thru the valve guides. black means the air/fuel mixture is 'too rich'; meaning its getting too much fuel |

its going to sound a bit silly but have recently changed your oil and filter? or added oil? if so drain it and replace the filter too..then make sure its filled to the proper level (checked on level ground with a warm engine) and not overfilled...too much oil in the pan can result in heavy white smoke. it could be this simple, I have seen this happen several times.

Not wanting to piss on all the armchair mechanics but I would have thought you would have been better off looking for specific advice from somewhere like celica-club.co.uk instead of trying to solve a car problem on a porn forum.
|
You're using a porn forum the wrong way! Talk about porn!
haha, sorry. Just kidding. But dont give up, things could be worse. My car died on christmas weekend and since then I've been walking. Not dead yet. Losing some weight actually. |
Seems odd that some people think everyone here has only worked in the adult industry their whole lives..LOL
Many people here have extensive experience in other lines of work. They have expert skills, abilities and practical real world experiences to draw on and pass along when others are seeking help and knowledge. I wouldn't be so quick to discount the value of the input. |
maybe the piston rings are shot!
Had a similar problem with my car. It was not leaking oil, but fuck me if i didn't have to put in 2 liters of oil every 2 weeks. Turned out the piston rings needed replacing as well as having the cylinders ported and polished and had to then get bigger pistons as well. So i feel your pain man. Good luck with getting your car fixed! I know it sucks dumping money into a car! |

Im happy again ..for a while :)
The problem was very minor and had nothing to do with the head, gasket, rings or valves It was water in the back box how it got in there I have no idea as it was only a year old but after all sorts of tests including gas tests on the rad and compresion tests, emission test thats all it was. The mechanic put a new back box on it and the smoke is gone so Im happy again Thanks for all of your advice :) |
|
By back box you mean muffler Im guessing? or...
|
what the fuck is a back box moron
