    Pirated DVD vs. Legal DVD

That analogy always seemed like a cheap shot to me.
I see movies as the 'take a penny, leave a penny' tray.

Nothing shits me more than popping in a new DVD and finding that it has sections you can't skip. At least you can fast forward. I have over 150 DVDs and most have something annoying on them.

What does 'take a penny, leave a penny' mean in this instance exactly? You download a movie then upload another one to compensate and share the love?

      It is a cheap shot.

With the pirated DVDs, they forgot to mention:
      No Extras
      Shitty resolution
      Shitty sound
      Crowd noises
      Poor color in image
The guy in the next row down going to the bathroom
      A computer virus
      No packaging

Movie execs needed it drawn for them...in a nutshell. No doubt they still don't get it.

Typical excuse to justify their illegal activities. The funny thing is they MUST feel ashamed because they make all kinds of excuses. People that don't think it's wrong or don't care would just admit "Yeah I download movies. Who gives a fuck?"

I'm not sure that pointing out excessive nags on a DVD should justify piracy, but it does make something else clear... the people who download movies DON'T see these nags about piracy, yet the people who purchased them legally - non pirates - DO. What's the point of that?
