    Why do people copy youtube videos and repost them?

      Well if the video is popular then they'll download the video, slap a url on it and then repost it. Most of the times they'll just put the URL in the description.

          If they get 10k views they get 10k views. Some people like to have X amount of views a day, it's a lot easier if you've got tonnes of vids that people watch.
