Fiddy fat fucks stuck in the past.
(nice post sleazybear) |
We get listed pretty regular with The hun main page, sales vary, cannot say what sales are a direct result from there but our sales do increase anywhere from 1 - 3. We have had 5 listings so far this month - one is running right now and we had good overnight sign-Up's, but whether it was directly from the hun I cannot say for sure.

I sell cheap galleries. Whats this thing you call work?
|
one jillion if this was 10 yrs ago with ply n pch
|
what i'm hearing is 3 sales from a hun gallery is decent for a program these days - is that about right?
|
From our experience and giving an honest answer 3 would be about right.
|
I got listed in #2 a couple a months ago with a brand new site, only made me 3x$35.
I was actually bumped down a couple of spots during the day, one of the galleries was from you Sleazydream so maybe you could tell us how many sales you were making? :) |
3
is a magic number |

When it is a main page listing, I see results. Anything else, like overflow, no real big sales or changes in traffic patterns for the day. |

Bizarre and weird stuff still does petty well on The Hun |
average 5 with seemygf.com

SleazyBear, do you link to your own custom landing pages as well, or do you just link your galleries to the regular sponsor tours?

from the info in this thread the answer is between 0 and 50.
|
I notice 3 or 4 sometimes more extra sales in the days of thehun listings with our sites.

Here is a good example, lets say you have a site co branded with a sponsor. Instead of using there images, you use your own, you water mark them with your branded site. You make your own banners to your co branded site. A listing on The Hun will jump start your traffic. His rules may have changed a bit and it might be a little harder to do, but money talks and bullshit walks. This is another example of this is the way it is done today, and how it was done yesterday. The old masters are pretty much gone and with them, the tricks of the trade. Now its sponsor watermarks, that don't get you as much as it could. The art of site branding has pretty much been lost, because webmasters today think of one thing, sales. Where building a site that you can drive traffic to and build up your own little empire has been lost. |
Sleazybear - are you talking now and can provide recent examples in the last 2 months or years ago?

Hun traffic and sales died out around 2007
Before that, 2000-2006, TheHun was the shit, thats for sure. Made a lot of money thanks to TheHun. But these days I would not waste my time with that site. |

Jesus you must be some whale. I'm impressed.. 4 sales a day at $30 each is $120 average over time is 3 time renewing so $360 $360 x 365 days a year is $131,400 I'm a small time webmaster, I'll waste my time for that kind of money - even if it is gross and not net. The Hun is just one place to get traffic from many..... I wish i was in your league where I didn't have to waste my time on that, but I'm no where near there. |
Un fucking believable how you've become such an newbie noob idiot, did you also loose your brain after your bankruptcy??
I can't believe it's the SleazyDream guy asking these stupid questions |

markets change. I could have told you the answer to this 3 years ago... but that was 3 years ago... there's something wrong with asking how other people are doing in similar places? If that makes me stupid - then I'm stupid. |
Quote:
Also you used to call anyone an idiot asking them same stupid question like you're doing now. |

I don't randomly call someone an idiot. I dont' think I would ever call someone an idiot on a topic like that |

last time i submitted a gallery to the hun it took my site down for a day
1000's of hots and not 1 sign up |
the hun listed one of my picture galleries on Feb 14, about halfway down the links..
3 sales @ 39.95...not bad |
We usually do about 5 nowadays.
|
Listed on thehun years ago seemed a sale for a free placement was good.. I never paid for a spot though.
|
I just got a gallery accepted :) can't wait to find out how many sales I make from it. Maybe I will be able to afford one of the new Lamborghinis by the end of March.

Each gallery uses 50gb, so if you were to have a gallery every 3days as thehun listing allows, this would only be a maximum of 10 galleries a month. 500gb... Yes, bandwidth wouldnt be the issue. We do only show the latest previews on each of our sites now as we were using a lot more with every gallery. So for those people that have never used thehun, they should still be very careful with the amount of content shown on their sites. :2 cents: |
When submitting Janessa's galleries over the past few months I have seen 3min to 14max sales per listing, not all have been on thehun main page some on thehun.com/overflow.. It seem more amateur looking content converts better on there for me.
