What do you find as the easiest/ most effective way to organize your contacts?

I started using Outlook 2010 recently so that I can organize my contacts, calendar, emails & tasks/notes and also back up and sync all data with my laptop, smartphone and any future devices I may use. -
Personally, I just use Outlook, and it works great.
