Going back to the cell phone model, it might not be a bad idea.

Give the surfer two options- one to buy the device outright, and another option to pay a reduced fee upfront followed by a monthly fee for a period of time to ensure they cover costs / turn a profit.

Maybe for the monthly fee the surfer gets access to something like 3 scenes that rotate on a weekly basis, or maybe they get X number of ppv minutes per month. Make it just enough to justify the recurring fee but not so much that you lose the upsell op to sell more minutes.

Throw in an early termination fee in the terms of $200 and you're set.

right now they have pay per sale at 50 bucks flat and rev share at 20% plus 10% on the device, the latter of which seems the better way to go. but they are coming out with a few more buyer options, from their newsletter-

"Coming soon --

Unlimited Rentals - Customers pay $29.95 and have unlimited access to a RealTouch video for life

7-Day Rentals - Customers pay $9.95 for unlimited viewing within a 7-day period"

I'm selling a used Real Touch anyone want a deal on it?

Babaganoosh 02-17-2010 11:09 AM

It's AEBN so chances are you won't be seeing many sales. I've always had terrible luck with AEBN.

BIGTYMER 02-21-2010 01:29 AM

So it has been a few days. Anyone get any sales?

SleazyDream 02-21-2010 04:13 AM

i don't think they should give it away - but put a $10 or $20 charge on it... it's about pay per view - the money is there and you want more people to buy and use it

closer 06-08-2010 04:13 PM

Sorry for bumping a somewhat old thread, but for those still promoting realtouch, how many did you have till now (from start)

I just had my 2nd one ... not really impressive though

pamon 06-08-2010 07:28 PM

how are you promoting it? just organic traffic?

famous 06-08-2010 09:19 PM

still at zero lol

eroticsexxx 06-08-2010 11:08 PM

I haven't had the time to promote RealTouch, except for a simple domain forward at JerkOffBetter.com, but I do believe that the product is a solid one and that AEBN has a definite winner with this technology.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, those who seriously want to promote this product will have to try it or at the very least have one in their possession to demo.

I presently am working on a proposal that can benefit all parties interested in further marketing the Realtouch, even in these economically trying times.

My consultation fee is $2,500 and 35% of the resulting intake.

Mainly organic traffic yes, but I should work harder on some keyword rankings though

bDok 06-09-2010 12:10 AM

I think cookie time should be HUGE on this product. It's a purchase people are going to think about. It's not a 30 bucks or so pay site. It's something over a hundred bucks. A little more thought is going to go into it.

No sales here yet...

Dwreck 06-09-2010 02:11 PM

I don't see what.s the big deal. But with over 1k views I know thier is curitosity about it.
When I said I was the fan of the fleshlight it freaked people out. It was so weird then. I don't get how girls can have pink dolphins vibs that plug into your ipod and the famous Hitachi wand but the minute a guy wants a sex toy its taboo.

I think its cause men are way to macho to admit they need one cuz well you know. They get mad pussy only fags need some sort of sex toy. I have heard that one before. My sexual intercourse to masterbation ratio is 50/1 I'm a single guy, so I think Im qualified to speak on this topic. :)

Lets get something straight NOTHING beats your hand , the rythm, pressure and feel. I get that. Amen to that :)

Fleshlights are heavy and if you like making masterbating a hobby/sport like I do it can be wearing at times.

Im pro Real touch the product not so much the biz model.

I tried to get one shipped up to Canada but it got sent back.

Caligari 06-09-2010 02:18 PM

Well folks here is my story...

I have been advertising Real Touch because i really do think its a great device and simply one of the coolest gizmos to come out in adult in a long time.

So...i made blogs, put ads on a few of my sites...

to date i have 15 free sign ups and...........1 sale!

Yes thats right, i finally got a sale on the thing which makes me quite happy as it is one of the hardest freaking things i have tried to sell ever.

I will continue to advertise them and see what happens cuz i do like the idea alot, but god knows having launched it in this economic climate is a tricky prospect.

Rebel D 06-10-2010 05:50 AM

Be careful. the urban legend on these is that 3 mins in the device locks onto your cock and demands $ to release

tranza 06-10-2010 05:58 AM

That thing is ugly... :P

If it continues to not convert well, try ours. It works in the reverse way the realtouch does and works with Fleshlight. Also about half the price and no per min fees.

Vstroker

CaptainHowdy 06-10-2010 06:23 AM

Great for people without hands...

crazytrini85 06-10-2010 06:24 AM

Huge flop. Didn't take Nostradamus to see it coming.

Hate to see people fail though, so I'm not laughing, just saying it is a flop. Move on to your next project.

That looks very good as well, nice 3D anime type sites. on the 3D live action you need glasses? do you guys supply or sell those too?

also still trying to understand this - "It is a sophisticated device that monitors the speed and intensity of your motions within your stroker toy and translates that motion to the media you are watching on your computer."

so is the video speeding up and slowing down depending on the motion?

CarlosTheGaucho 06-10-2010 07:46 AM

I am sure they made their development money well back already

And this is not a product you could sell just by throwing traffic at it

Not many figured it out I guess

It's not a flop, actually. It's a superior piece of hardware, combined with one of the largest libraries of adult content.

The issue regarding sales is the way that it is being promoted at present.

I have some new ideas on how to market this. It'll be out in the open soon enough.

Spot on. And it is selling, i have a few referrals who are kicking royal butt with sales so people are succesfully marketing Real Touch right now.

I believe alot has to do with having really good pornstar traffic...connecting pornstars in the RealTouch system to avid fans is a huge thing.

Fiddler 06-10-2010 09:31 AM

It's a nice idea, but I think the costs involved sorta make it a no go for a lot of customers.

Be careful of imposing financial limitations on potential customers. That mindset can cause opportunities to be missed.

When the desire for a product is sufficiently piqued, a customer always will find a way to buy it.

It's all in the marketing.

A perfect example was a web campaign I saw a few years ago that pushed the concept of hiring an escort as opposed to going out on random dates. It implied that if the purpose was to enjoy oneself, then why waste money on an unsure thing?

I remember that one, I guess it also included a video ad.

Btw. I totally agree, the only way how to differentiate with price is to offer an actual higher price.
