)....the summers here are fantastic. I'm now about a week into the second real winter of my life and frankly, I could live without it forever. Then again, if you like winter sports then you can't go wrong up here.
There's definitely a small town feel to the area (only about 25k permanent residents), and that's definitely different from the bay area, but it's nice.

I've live here in Key West, FL for 10 years now. I like the small town feel and I'm used to "dogshit" wages. Working as a captain on the water I thought maybe there could be some jobs in the summer available. Then when winter came along I would love to work on a ski mountain or plow snow or something.
