Did this error happen today? They went live with an updated webmaster affiliate join form yesterday.

I'll get someone to take a look at it ASAP.

I just had tier 2 support do a test affiliate signup on my form: http://www.bvbucks.com/sign_up.php and she was able to sign up fine. They are checking more.

I also just tested and signed up fine also.

Try signing up from my site if you don't mind.

if it goes thru ok then you can log in to WMS and search and join any of the WMS sponsors inside with one click.

BTW: What sponsor were you trying to sign up for? (if you dont mind me asking)

You can hit me on icq: 119968011 if you like.

Every time I start to type something I end up deleting it because I AM FUCKING LIVID.

This WMS has been nothing but a nightmare from the start with problems ongoing for months and now THIS.

I actually tried signing up for your program two days ago and kept getting taken to the WMS homepage

I tried a few other ccbill programs that had switched recently and got the same result, it was quite frustrating, I can't seem to properly join any program that has switched to WMS.

I tried signing up at:

http://www.iheartbucks.com

and my program:

http://webwhorebucks.com

And obviously others. I'm having the same problem trying to sign up as an affiliate so it's not just him.

Thank you very much for trying -- I am so sorry that I ever signed up to use the WMS thinking it would be BETTER for our affiliates.

I didn't realize until tonight when I tried signing up to promote iheartbucks that this was going on and the old signup options were gone. I came on here to see if anyone was talking about it and this is all I found. No wonder we haven't gotten any affiliate signups lately.

*****

If I don't come back to check how this thread is doing it's because I can't afford the time/insanity, so sorry if I seem to not be following up on this. But that's really ccbill's job (to follow up). Of course, since so few people will step up and criticize ccbill in any way I'm sure this thread will be buried by Monday anyway.

My irritation isn't coming out of left field over just this one issue, by the way. It's months of buildup, some of which I've posted.

Thanks for doing that, BV -- I'm guessing you have an establish WMS affiliate account or something?

Here's the error I'm getting:

http://webwhorebucks.com/blog/AffiliateSignupError.jpg

There are a handful of problems here, and this error is only one of them. Affiliates are even harder to "convert" and retain than customers, and ccbill is at best making it really fucking confusing. At best.

I rue the day I signed up for this WMS bullshit.

I'm not a big fan of this new ccbill webmaster system either.
From what I understand you have to create a new master account then everything goes under that account (same ID).

No, I signed up for a new account.

Thanks for posting that screen cap as it just helped me realise why you guys are getting the error and I am not.

I am using the button below that box. "Sign Up Now"

The form you are using I believe is just to log into the WMS (if you already have a WMS login)

Once you log in to the WMS then you "search" for the new program you want to join and check a box, then its a done deal.

So my guess is that the login box they have on that page is either 1, not working, or that login information you entered is not a WMS login.

You will have to log into your main wms admin as "client".

Go to the affiliate/wms sponsors/programs/modify programs

then click "search" , highlight your program and click the modify button

then scroll down and check the box next to: email To sponsor when a new affiliate joins program.

I noticed it is "not checked" by default. After we were migrated.

BV: found a thread by you elsewhere which helped give me perspective (but only made me madder at ccbill). Thanks for providing some of the info/walk-through that ccbill didn't.

Sigh. We so do not have time for this bullshit of keeping our eyes peeled to see what we're paying ccbill 14.5% to fuck up next.

Here's the kicker Trixie,

The new WMS aff codes are not going to work with your current link codes, fhg's and other tools you have listed on your site.

You will have to do some modifications.

So my advice to you is to take down your webmaster signup page until you complete these mods. (your existing affilaites willbe fine and their sales are tracking fine and they can continue using those tools and links)

If you notice at the top of my site www.bvbucks.com there are two radio buttons (1 for old legacy affiliate id's and one for the new WMS "participation id's"

With the new WMS you really only need one CCBill WMS affiliate account.

Then you log into the wms admin and join programs from there and get a "participation number"

This participation number is the number used in the link codes.

It is possible to generate a link to the program using in the wms admin using the link code wizard.

There is a very steep learning curve to this new system (for sponsors and affiliates)

Especially for those of us that have been using the old legacy system for almost 10 years.

Believe me I feel your pain and I have expressed a lot of these issues to the programmers at ccbill and they are working on things to make it easier.

I / we (those of us that have migrated) really have no other choice.

It's a new affiliate system with lots of new features and it will take some time to get used too.

The only choice you have is either learn it and continue on and be the first to master it (like i am doing)

or move on to another processor.

CCBill has been good to me for a long time and I am not jumping ship.

If you need some help with your tools Woj can help you as he helped get mine reconfigured.

[email protected]

Good Luck.

BV

That's one way to do it and the easiest imo.

But it is still possible to have more than one acct.

THE MOST IMPORTANT part to remember is not to use the affiliate id number in your link code any more and to use the "participation id".

This is going to be the trickiest part for affiliates. (but no trickier than their old merge feature) and using the correct number in that scenario.

CCBill programmers are making some code for wms sponsors to put on their sites that affiliates will be able to enter their main id and it will return the proper participation id and eliminate any guesswork as to what number goes in the link code for that particular site.

Thanks, BV -- I have been sitting here trying to figure out what to do and really only have the time to do like you said and pull the signup link and add a form for people to signup to be notified when things are straightened out.

I'm not at all interested in investing the time to deal with the new WMS when so much is broken about it, it's so slow, and you never know what they'll break and fix/change later (I still don't trust legacy that has lost my customizations that took forever to make to the emails notifications etc.). Every confusing nonsensical aspect of the old system seems to have been amplified and multiplied in WMS and I don't trust it to retain any painstaking customizations I might take forever to do nor do I trust their customer service people to accurately answer any questions about it.

My limited time would be better served working on our paysites and taking care of our members and existing affiliates even though it's a big blow to not be able to recruit new affiliates, not to mention how much trust is eroded by all of the other stuff that's happened/is happening to our existing affiliates.

I really do appreciate the time you're taking in posting all of this info, BV. Thanks again.

Your welcome Trixie, and I am sorry you feel that way, but you are really over amplifying the problems. In reality, there are no serious problems and it's not that hard (if you take interest and spend a little time in the new WMS) your fears will diminish. It's a very robust system with a sizable "learning curve"

The old system still works for all your old affiliates.

So if you need a little step by step help in "laymans" terms, hit me up and I will guide you through what you need to do from a sponsors perspective, to get your tools updated to work with the new WMS linkcodes.

If you continue to spread doubt and confusion over the new system, instead of embracing and learning it, you will only make it worse on yourself and everyone else.

Cheers,
BV

Thanks again for your help and offer to do some handholding -- you're a doll!

As far as the other stuff, though, CCBill alone is responsible for spreading doubt and confusion regarding this WMS.

But what about my 7 year old master account that all my ccbill programs are merged under, that I get wire payouts from?

The only reason I would ever sign up for a new ccbill program these days would be because of the aggregated payout, I really don't want to have a second set of accounts for WMS, that kind of defeats the purpose...

Is there no way to join a WMS program using my old ccbill master account?

Yes, you already are joined and might not know it. Aren't you an affiliate of BVBucks? If you are then your affiliate account should have been migrated already. You should be able to log into the https://admin.ccbill.com wms admin.

If your not, then just join and then that will be the only account you need to join as many wms accounts as you want with the same number. This new WMS eliminates the merge feature. You just join other programs inside the admin and get a "participation number" as I explained above.

Also, it is not a problem to have ccbill merge all your payments for all your accounts into 1 wire or check. (if for some reason you have some stray accts, wms or non wms)

Still can't login. This is so confusing.

All my ccbill traffic goes to non-wms programs, so why bother? Until ccbill switches every program over and everything makes sense, I don't think I want to bother having two sets of logins for stats.
