messing around with my camera playing with DOF [pic]

i play with DOF from time to time even though i've only got 1 lens and no training. with an 18-55 i position myself, crank the barrel to 5.6 and frame up. there is probably an easier way and i'm sure if i had a 200 or 300 i could stand a distance away for the same and better effect but i'm learning. it is a fun tool to play with. i wouldn't make every pic in your shoot like that, just as i wouldn't dutch angle an entire video

Another shot I did about a year ago that came out as a complete accident but I thought was pretty neat... Had no idea what I did at the time and when I looked at it I was like "hey that's pretty cool" lol.

several of you completely mistook my dof comments. not sure how you waxed over my commenting about the use of dof in cinema but you did and then somehow conclude i gave credit to dean for inventing the dof shot. lolz.

i will rephrase- there are no other ADULT solo girl shooters who use this shot as much as dean does. dean's mentor, hicks does not, ftvgirls doesn't, denys defranco- nope. met-art photogs, i can go on etc.

it's dean's shot, dean's a technical shooter so it makes sense it's a part of his repetoire.

2nd- of course any one porn shot isn't for everybody. i'm not trying to say it should. i am saying that the eye/brain is better than the camera( as referenced above), that i like a shot like that to be in total focus so my eye/brain can pick what's needed to whack off with out missing a beat or having to grab my mouse and click to another pic.

this isn't cinema paradiso, this is jacking off to porn.

but the fact remains that we don't have a viable method to pique the minds of the porn surfer about matters such as these, so i look inward and try to analyze my own habits, likes and tendencies. i assure you that while not everyone has the same habits, likes and tendencies as me, many many do.

the best way to maximize sales is to give the customer what he wants, not dictate to the customer what he wants.

more- if i am looking at a vagina close-up in real life, of course the chick's face is out of focus. but, when i switch my gaze to the face, tiddies, whatever, it is instantly in focus without me even realizing it was out of focus a millisecond ago. a picture doesn't work that way, once it is out of focus, it's out of focus. the viewer's eyes and brains are removed from participation.

I think you need to send her to my house.

Last I heard she got super fucked up and ended up wandering around naked in the desert. So I suppose there's a chance of her ending up at your house haha
