I think this was mentioned to you before, but glad you are looking into it now at least.
Your site loads to slow period, and it will cost you sales.
No matter if the dial up surfers are fading there are still tons of them and if you can't get your site dowloaded onto their computer fast enough sales are going out the window.
That said some image optimization in PS should be good enough to get things in the ball park.

Actual most of us europeans are surfing the internet via floppy disks send via the postal mail system between big goverment computers, which we can access by filling out forms and waiting in line.
Ex. I have been waiting since 5:30 this morning for 5 minutes of surfing time on the big goverment computers, and when I´m done my surfing will be saved on a floppy disk which is send via the postal system* to the central uploading agency.

3mbs for a page. wow, that's way too huge. A fast connection can handle this very quickly.. but in truth a page should load in 3 seconds or less
As already mentioned several times, optimize photos, slice bigger images and optimize those. Yes photoshop can slice and optimize all of this for you.

Thanks, looked into slicing and optimizing images.... turns out that some of the larger images were saved at "10" instead of "8"... we reduced all of those images and save about 1/3.
Problem is the pages are just too long and have too many hi res pics on it. All the little thumbs we have to lower, that will take time but will save more download time.
Converting smaller images any lower or to gif's just didn't look right, so we will focus on making smaller pages.
Thanks for the tips. We'll keep workin on it. At least they are 1/3 smaller now, they pop a little quicker, but over all still slow for the modem users.

This is a long shot, but if anybody reads this from Europe or Australia....
Please let us know if our site downloads within reason.... are there enough images downloading to keep you interested in seeing all of it... or is it so slow that you just can't wait.

That site is horrible on so many levels. Not trying to be a dick but that is the reality of it. I can fix all your problems and even guarantee my work, but it will not be cheap. That site should be re-built 100% - Your host is NOT the problem and making a few slices wont solve it either.
