Great .me domain or not-so-good .com domain?
Should I go with .me? What about SEO? Or Google doesn't care about the extension for ranking purposes? any opinion?

I've got a couple of .ME domains that are doing really good. I wish I could have the .com version but those were long gone. From what I have noticed, extension doesn't play a major role in SEO. Odd extensions could do equally good with quality backlinks and on site SEO.

Any domain extension is good for SEO. Its only "type in" traffic that might be affected if opting for something other than .com.

 Use a .com even if you need to add an extra word to the domain. |

SEO doesn't matter, but if you want to do any serious branding the .com is key.
you will lose type in w/o it like return traffic, word of mouth, etc

Stay with .com. We've recently gotten into domain speculation and that's one of the first things I learned... stay with .com. It's pricier and it can be a pain in the ass to research and dig but it pays it all back when it's time to sell
